Now to keep this post on topic with the thread, I hope Kelly is a full-blown romance in ME3.

 I'd prefer it if they allowed us the option to keep things casual with her.  Friends with benefits.  Simply firt with her between missions, and have some cutscenes like post SM in 2.  

I really don't want to hear about her childhood, thoughts on religions, parent issues, former spouses, abandoned children, or something on par with brain camp like you do with the LIs.

If people want that with her fine - have at it, but there should be a point with her where it's brought up where all this going - 'let's keep things casual' or 'i really care about you...blah blah blah'.  

Kelly's biggest appeals is her lack of baggage and her straight forward and fun approach to things in 2.  She's very mucha friend with benefits type and I don't see anything wrong with that in a game where they've already gone beyond m/f human relations.

I'd like to keep that going as an option rather then absolutely having to have it turn into a full ledge romance in 3.

Like I said, I'd want this as an option not mandatory since others out there want something more in 3 with her and their Shep.

Well, since Kelly gives a damn about race and gender she would save Bioware some work developing new LIs. Same way for both genders and thats it. She is my favorite in ME2, since it feels like developing a real LI with someone, not just 2-3 unique dialogues and a sex scene. She is like the ME1 LI, not just someone to jump on. For me she would be the only alternate ME3 LI, Ashley is my favorite. So give us back our favorite yeoman Bioware...Maybe with additional ingame content for the CE? I already purchased it, so feel free to do me a favor ^^

I hope the developers continue to use Kelly to provide insight on the crew and comment upon the current state of the mission all the while continuing to remain affable to Commander Shepard.

I am not looking for any missions to stem from my conversations with Kelly; but I still would like to learn a little more about her background during conversations. I am still very curious how she ended up working for Cerberus, since they appear to her ideas appear to be in opposition to Shepard’s own understanding of Cerberus’s ideals and operations.

I agree that keeping Kelly aboard the Normandy should not necessitate romancing her; but I do question whether Shepard should be able to causally flirt with Kelly if he has a love interest on board. To me it is about the power of choice, if Shepard can continue to romance Kelly without consequence it sets it apart from the rest of the gameplay and sets it up as just a sideshow.

Yeah, you really don't.  Having experience in the area, if I were to draw conclusions about Kelly's past based on what we observe of her in the game ... there's a lot of unpleasant stuff she's still working through.  Just because one is a psychologist doesn't mean they have their own brains straightened out. (and, in my experience - knowing a number of psychologists - more often than not they're more messed up than you) 

That said, I liked Kelly.  I wouldn't want her to be a full fledged romance option unless she was the only bi/gay female option aside from Liara. (in which case I'd run a game for each)  The reason being, for all that I thought she was a fun, perky kind of person, I am still far more attached to the other women in my crew and would prefer something with Tali or Miranda over Kelly. (though as friends with benefits, I see no problems there ... I'm on the move a lot, I don't always have time for deep relationships)

I have to say, it could be pretty hilarious, right before the final mission against the Reapers, if you chat up the right people in the right ways, half the ship's crew and two thirds of your squad throw themselves at you in a span of five minutes.

Slightly immersion breaking for all of us who are not rich, famous or incredibly good-looking, but amusing nonetheless.

I support this, but PLEASE! send her to the hair and makeup artist before she reports back for duty.  That black eye makes her look like she's been in a cat fight the night before and her hair is just....well it just is...
