I actually laughed when I saw the outcome the first time.

was i the only one who thought that the renegade choice to kill her in the first game was kindda strange? Even for a renegade shep it made little sense to me. More like an execution just for the sake of it.
It was definitely a dick move on Shepard's part. JMO.

Thats actually even far more believable then shepardts mystical resurrection in Mass Effect 2...
And if she come back in any way, hopefully she will look as good as in the first game.

From the seemingly importance the developers have placed upon the decisions Shepard has made so far, I am expecting those who spared Shiala will once again see her return for this final installment.

I hope it's not because gwendoline isn't doing VA work in ME3. She made Captain Wasea sound alot more special than other Asari villains (LOL to Tela Vasir)

I'm holding out hope, but my hope is as dust on an open surface on a windy day.

Further to my point is through our actions (both in ME & ME2) the colony at Zhu’s Hope can either wither or prosper. I can hardly see this world the player has invested so much in and littered with Prothean technology being neglected (ergo Shiala one of Zhu’s Hope most prominnate citizens being neglected).
I admit if revelations concerning Zhu’s Hope were not part of the massive leak that is worrisome, but it is certainly not definitive. But again I don’t see the developers such fertile ground they have worked hard to develop.

Bioware hinted that something was happening to her and the colonists and it would just seem odd that they left that bit to rot. Keeping fingers crossed.

I have a sneaking suspicion that you'll be able to romance her too. We already know she has a thing for Shepard.

In addition to (as I said earlier) the amount of potential she has regarding the Reaper conflict. Liara doesn't have that. In fact, none of the crew have as much plot integral potential as Shiala does.
If I were to put them in order:
1. Shiala (complete prothean knowledge like Shepard. Also overcame indoctrination and is still affected by Thorian)
2. Rana (studied indoctrination at Saren's behest. Best to work on how Shiala is the way she is. Might pull Mordin up from the "everybody else slot)
3. Tali/Legion (Geth were the main fighting force in ME who were strangely scarce in ME2, but the Quarian and Geth conflict can serve to undermine the Reapers...hmm I'm rethinking blowing up the Geth now)
4. Shepard (don't have to make a point on this)
5. Everyone else (all along for the ride unless Mordin's used to study Shiala with Rana)
Unfortunately numbers one and two weren't written for ME2 where it could have been utilized completely and to the point of satisfying finding a way to meet the conflict going forward into ME3. They may introduce Shiala and issues regarding her condition, but it won't get the attention it deserves. I guarantee you if this was a television show (that had a chance to develop at its own pace) Shiala would have become very integral to the whole story.

I'm guessing something similar to what happened with the Asari Consort in ME. I'd love for her to play a bigger role (squadmate would be awesome) but considering she could be killed off easily in ME I very much doubt she will play a large role in ME3
Garrus gets killed quite easily in me2, so you never know

I'd like to see something of Shiala in ME3. I liked her from off the bat, so I do hope she's in ME3 somewhere. And personally, I'd like her to stay green. (:

I hadn't considered the Shiala/Rana connection before, but your right. Both of these asari can be killed in ME1, yet both have more knowledge of indoctrination than just about anyone, epecially Shiala since as we've both stated she the only known character to ever recover from indoctrination.
Putting these two character together would be quite a treat.

My only real worry with her is that PS3 players can't access her which is a shame.
Same thing happened with Conrad Verner. Such a shame.

I wouldn't put it past BW to have you be forced to kill Shiala, if you're already familiar with the consequences of your other paragon choices. Choices matter dur hur hur!
I'd be happy to just hear her speak. Love her exotic voice. Hers and Daro'Xen's.
