Well just to clarify what I said earlier. The leaks are mostly lines of dialogue and data. There is a single placeholder line for Shiala and the consort, and nothing more.

You have based your assumption upon a very valid observation.  I won’t say I disagree, but I continue to extend my hope on the matter.  Feros remains a world that possesses Protheon technology (a race who at one time tried to extricate the power of the Reapers).  A colony had been established to seek out valuable technology.  Shepard’s decisions had an impact on the colony.  If Shiala lives she has become an important member Zhu’s Hope.  First part of my speculation is the colony still appears relevant to the ME3 storyline, and if the colony exists (and if Shiala still lives) I would expect to find her there.     

I wouldn't put it past BW to have you be forced to kill Shiala, if you're already familiar with the consequences of your other paragon choices. Choices matter dur hur hur!

I am not sure what you mean with this comment.  Are you suggesting that the leak has revealed some choices being rendered null and void?  

I'd be happy to just hear her speak. Love her exotic voice. Hers and Daro'Xen's.

I agree. Spoilers before the game is even finished aren't really spoilers. BioWare still has more then enough time to throw together some Shiala goodness.

It's a bit disappointing,, but not surprising, since she wasn't mentioned in the leaked script either (I'm not sure if the consort was mentioned)

I liked her character a lot too. I hope she has a role in ME3. Would be interesting if she may potentially betray you...or be a LI.

I hope she's just teasing. It was her voice that made the characters (Shiala and Sha'ira). They take away characters like that, and yet give scrubs like Conrad Verner, Joker and EDI more screen-time?

Shiala was totally cool, infinitely more interesting than liara (not to mention much better voice acting).

i would have loved to replace liara with shiala on the normandy in ME1 for any number of reasons most of which are too obvious to even bother mentioning

and i hope shiala at least shows up in ME3 even if it's not a major role

She looks a lot better purple.

The green skin is a symptom of illness brought on by the Thorian also, which just makes it even more unattractive.

The developers dropped the ball on what could have been a great saga to tell.  Shiala represented a method for neutralizing at least one danger that exists with working around Reaper tech.  Rana is another one that they didn't factor in.  Rather than pick up a bunch of miscreants we could have actually worked towards the goal of stopping the Reaper's plan from coming to fruition.
