She is the cutest asari in this game and i also like her voice

i would like to have something casual with her xD i can't just leave garrus.

I think Liara in LotSB and and Samara in ME2 were both more attractive than Shiala, though she was hot in ME1. I don't think she should return as a full fledged party member or romance option, but I think she should return as a minor character/quest giver. Rather than making her an LI I think they should just resolve her flirtation with Shepard in ME2 by making her a fling in ME3. Basically, a similar role as the Asari Consort from ME1.

I think they should do the same with Gianna Parasini.

Oh, and Shiala should return in her natural purple skin tone. The sickly green color is the result of some sort of Thorian illness. It isn't attractive either.

Just occurred to me after re-playing ME1 today... What if the Shiala you see in ME2 really isn't Shiala?

What if it is just another clone of her like in ME1? Could the Thorian have regenerated from the damage we gave it last time? Could a renewed Zhu's Hope be a giant flytrap?

Probably just insane ramblings, don't mind me...

I'm guessing something similar to what happened with the Asari Consort in ME. I'd love for her to play a bigger role (squadmate would be awesome) but considering she could be killed off easily in ME I very much doubt she will play a large role in ME3

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Who knows? ...I much prefer her ME1 appearance anyway if it's actually her. (Even if she was purple in ME2.)

Do want me some green Asari action please! Although they do need to bring the reddish rings under her eyes, and bring back some of the force in her speech. It'd be interesting for her to have a side mission to cure her (although if they were planning something similar for Thane that'd be a no go). She would even work as a temporary squadmate, as long as her story feels good enough.

Shiala's fanbase is higher than any other non-companion character in the game. She needs a larger role in ME3 (as do some other npcs like Gianna and Kal'Reegar), and if it takes you an extra year to develop that role then so be it! Call it polish.

This game is Shepard's last hurrah, let it be everything your fans want Bioware!

Whilst neither she or Gianna appear in default or Genesis/PS3 playthroughs of ME2 I would hope that Bioware doesn't decide to skimp out and drop such people from making appearances even if just cameo. The comment of people returning if they are alive, should mean all such influential people in the series even if just tied to PC/360 players and I am saying this even though I've got a fair few PS3 Sheps going into ME3 as well.

One of the admins over at the wiki persists that Shepard can also receive a kiss from her if he romanced no one else so far, although I haven't seen any prove of this so far.

I tried it and it didn't work. I swear that guy is full of crap.

Me too.

Already assumed that to be the case, but wanted to be sure

I think the wiki is full of it. They make lots of assumptions and state it as fact.

True, that entire place often seems to be a private playground of sorts for the admins and their little inner circle, whereas everyone else is second guessed at the first possible opportunity. Guess it's a good thing that Zulu is trying to set up a more open 'mirror' of it.

I 100% agree with everything you have said. Without the red eyeliner she doesn't look the same at all. Although, ME2 really did sort of fail when it came to Asari (Liara looked horrible too until the DLC came out). I hope Shiala is a perminant squadmate and love interest, but I know that is just wishful thinking. XD

*Adds support for Shialamance*

There was definitely something brewing between her and Shep back on Illium. Her as a squadmate may be asking a little too much. But hopefully as a Normandy Crewmember with a romance subplot! :)

^ What a twist! Seriously though I didn't think of this one it'd be both neat and horrible at the same time but would your scenario leave room for Shaila to be alive and rescuable?

I'd imagine she would either be in one of those squishy red stasis pods or just another Thrall working for the greater good for the Thorian on Zhu's Hope.

But maybe they're not limited to Zhu's Hope anymore? I remember reading a CDN article about a new "drug" that came from Feros that had quite a few side-effects that the thralls were complaining about...\\

Though on the other side of things the Thorian cures indoctrination.

I hope she (along with Gianna Parasini) can become romances in ME3. I don't think she will be imortant, though, as she can die in ME1.

I liked the way Gianna kissed male Shepard in ME2.  I thought it was a cute touch.

Honestly, Shiala and Gianna Parasini are hotter/more interesting than any of the female love interests available in ME1 and ME2.  Maybe that's because we don't get to know them as well/can't romance them (grass is always greener) but I don't think so.  For those who think they'd be bad squaddies, Shiala is a commando and the Devs could just make Gianna a solid tech/sleuth/pistoleer or something.

I never liked Gianna much. Love Shiala though. I don't necessarily agree with her being more interesting than the other love interests though. I love her character, but we really don't know much about her. Her ME1 look was WAY hotter than any other character in the game so far, both in green and in purple. In ME2 she looked ok, but it was obvious they didn't spend a lot of time on her and the voice actor sounded like she was reading off of a script. : / If they actually put time and effort into her, she could easily be one of the best characters in the game.

That is an intriguing idea, but why a clone disguised as Shiala would be seeking a cure for exposure to the Thorian. Also it is my understanding that if Shiala had been killed in ME1 she does not appear in ME2 (shouldn't matter if it is a clone).

I like the idea that if the player kills Shiala she won’t return in ME3. That demonstrates the players impact over the game he/she is playing. You miss out on that opportunity to include her in your squad for the mission relating to Feros and any romantic dialog that may have transpired. If you have come to regret your choice you can always play it again with a different outcome.

There are elements to Shiala’s character that I find interesting and compelling.

She and Matriarch Benezia engaged with Saren with altruistic reasons. It was tragic that they both then succumbed to Sovereign’s indoctrination.

It is further tragic Shiala is traded by Saren to the Thorian for the Prothean cipher.

She is confronted after the release from the Thorian by Shepard and offers to serve the colonists as penance or resigns herself to her fate.

To me her backstory is interesting, and her control of the cipher and having broken the Reaper’s indoctrination create genuine possibility for her ability to impact the events in ME3.

Don't forget, I tink Casey Hudson himself or at lest one of the DEVS tweeted that not all romance options had to be squad members, or major chachters to say the least.

I hope if Shailia is a squadmate or a fling (on Feros) we can visit her and really talk to her learn about not only her time with Saren and Benezia but also who she was before all that and who does she want to be. I know she says she's unremarkable but I get the feeling that's not entirely true. She could also be the only person who isn't trying to kill shep that could relate to having visions, understanding all aspects of prothean society, ect.

I would some talks on the cipher maybe she's been doing more research into the protheans sense she can understand that, I would like to compare notes or ask questions on their civilization sense shep hasn't had time to look into many prothean relics. I'd also like to know does she or shep perhapse find themselves thinking prothean, craving food they ate, or such things.

Yum.

Something will happen, I'd say either simple 'fling'+cameo or surprise squad member+love interest.

<--- Oh and I'd ask she look just as she does here, green with tan eye shadow/tones around face.

I too like, love and enjoy Shiala very much she is a interesting and wonderful character. She have a interesting History and Past, she too the only Green Asari of right now. ^^I would and will love to have her being a Romance Character and squadmate. There are other character that we haven't heard of or seen yet. They said it like up to 10 something like that or I am wrong. I am sure Shiala will be back, I hope she be back. :D

At Donovan Hock's party the guy with two arsari on each arm talking about Archangel, both of those asari were green.  Or looked that way to me.

But she is the only green asari Shepard interacts with in game.

I did talk to one of the writers about Shiala and Gianna.  My question: "Any chance we'll see Shiala or Gianna in-game? When we're not doing what we're doing and getting pecks from nice women..."

When I asked if they were in the game, he replied with "depends on whether you killed them off :)"

She looks a lot better with her natural purple skin tone, IMO.
