To be honest, it felt really nice to finally play ME1 with the love interest that I've always wanted for my male Shepard. It's only sometimes a little jarring when the game calls you "ma'am," "she," "her," when Kaidan calls you a woman, or when my Shepard magically changes to possess a woman's body during the love scene, but I knew that once I got to ME2, everyone would start referring to my Shepard as a man again.
I just started my ME2 run with this Shepard. I went to my personal quarters on the new Normandy and I saw Kaidan's portrait on the desk. Reaction? A HUGE smile on my face... the save successfully transferred over! I know what will happen on Horizon but I honestly can't wait for it.
Now my only question is... who are the romance options in ME2 for this modded Shepard? Since I'm now recognized as a man, does that mean I'm locked into the straight male romance options, or can I romance Jacob or Garrus if I wanted to? I'll find out soon enough, lol.

I just finished my modded ME1 play-through that I've been working on for the past two weeks! Erik Shepard, a paragon vanguard, who romanced Kaidan...
What?! How do you do that?

First you need to activate command console for ME1. Then start game with a female shep and as soon as you have opportunity enter "SetGender 0" to console and you are done. You can find more information about it on Mass Effect Wiki's Cheat's section.
For Venture's question:
You can change your gender and start same sex romances via Gibbed save game editor. Easiest way is changing your gender before speaking your LI then change it back. Check Masseffectsaves site. Under FAQ, there is more info about same sex romances if my memory serves.

And omg I have the worst friends ever. One of my girlfriends set me up on a blind date the other day with a guy with the last name Vega. Had less personality than a rock and didn't look ANYTHING like James though. First thing I asked him was "Can I call you Mr. Vega?" Sadly it was not meant to be. hahaha I'm way too much of a nerd for this world. ._.

Yeah, but I kind of figured this would happen once the game came out and the speculation would be over. Unless there is a REMOTE possibility that there will be expanded romantic content via DLCs. Also, I am spending a lot of free time actually playing the game (despite the ending, I still love it), so I don't have as much time as I used to.

Seems like we have run our LOTS OF SPECULATION FOR EVERYONE! course.
I'm actually playing MP intensively but I haven't touched the SP since I first finished. Even though I'm kind of over the post-ending depression, haha.

Ah yes, frequenting the LI threads, full of rabid, obsessive fangirls... I have dismissed that claim.

Romance Pack.
If Bioware could add another romance scene, or extra romance content, what would you want?
* Please post in thread for Bioware to see *

I'm woohooing vampires in Bridgeport right now. Don't have the will to replay ME any more. Will see after the "director's cut" is released. Writing here, on the forum, especially about LIs seems pointless since EVERY CHARACTER IS DEAD OR WORSE by epilepsy-inducing-RGB explosions... What a downer. M.SolidBeast wrote...

Now that there's a working fix for the face import issue (God bless modders and fan communities, doing gaming companies' work for them since 1995), I'm trying to work up the motivation to do a runthrough with my secondary Shep. Since all of her love interests are at least canon, and I think she might end up with Sam. What little story-related interest I still have in ME is mostly going to femShep/Ash fanfic, though (still bitter!) so I don't know how long it'll take me to get around to it.

I'm this close to starting my new Origins playthrough in earnest. I've been getting my toes wet for a month now but have yet to take the plunge. Could tomorrow be the day?
I think it's worse because we're all stuck in limbo. Now they've got this dumb extended cut, and there's a shadow of a chance that things might possibly maybe get a little better somehow, so we're waiting instead of being able to decide to live with it or move on from it for good.
But I can't complain, considering that I'd probably be one of the ones to move on from it entirely. And I really don't want to.

Only for femShep, but I tested it on my Butcher!Shep and holy crap she's her again. Even main!Shep, who mostly imported fine, looks a lot better with her eyes the proper size again.
Edit: helps if the link works doesn't it.

MP?
Still no?
Anyone else?
@devSin - hoping for something like this

but I can just picture it: a quick cutscene of quarians hauling bricks around, salarians writing poems about the relays, krogan mating all over the place, maybe an elcor standing awkwardly in the background... in other words, I don't give a crap about their "clarity". And as long as the kid stays real, I can't see myself being satisfied with the DLC.

I just don't know. The thing is so nebulous and inconclusive, I'm not sure I can tell where it primarily fails for me.SolidBeast wrote...

I know the kid is never going to be good. To shift the narrative to "creator vs. created" at the last moment, and then to propose options that don't even solve the supposed problem (two don't even seem to address it at all)... I don't know.
But is the main plot really that important? I like to think that I can at least be happy with it if they actually focus on what has made the story so appealing (the characters and the subplots) and give us honest resolution.
I can say that I despise the Normandy sequence with all my being; if they don't remove it, they better have a damn good explanation for it and then make it inconsequential by rescuing the crew in timely fashion. For me, if this remains unaddressed, I don't think I can be satisfied.

Regarding the DLC, I hate space kid, but as devsin I would settle for Jurassic Park being deleted or the crew being rescued by Shepard. And some romance (happy?) closure for god's sake!! we've been waiting for m/m romaces in ME for so long just to lose them to the endings.

Will probably be nothing more than the addition of the ME2 & 3 LIs into the flashbacks and a pic of Casey Hudson flipping us the bird with one hand and the other hand holding up a sign that reads "U MAD BRO?"
Uh. . . yeah, so I'm bitter, what of it.

As for the romances (and bringing this back on topic), I would like to see some DLCs allowing most, if not all, the ME2 cast have a LotSB style adventure, and some additional romance and friendship content for those who were in the game.
