TNTM is notifying all the game magazine twitters about the news.

That's a lot of updating.

OH, WHOA, THEY'RE LITERALLY TWEETING IT TO EVERYONE.

........THAT JUST MAKES ME WISH THAT THEY HAD SPELLED "SHEPHERD" RIGHT.

Anyway, maybe if word gets around, Bioware will confirm or deny it soon!

Is there a direct quote yet or are people still just freaking out over a paraphrase?

No, but the person who asked him about it at the Comic Expo tweeted all the info (including the fact the Kaidan's s/s  romance's already written, that Raphel likes it and is very happy it will be in the game) and our own MarqueAZ from BSN who was also at the Comic Expo and at the panel with Raphael confirmed that it's all true. Both people have taken pics with Raphael too.

BTW guys, do you think this pic was a hint from BW?

Seriously, they've never shown Kaidan together with Sheploo on any official promo material, let alone the very first screen from ME3. It was always like Ashley was "default" for Shep since she's a girl.

 Haha, agreed! I'd probably cringe if I heard my own fan-fiction in a Bioware game!

I'm definitely a fan of Kaidan and Sheploo having marketing interactions together, even if it's not a "hint" from Bioware about anyone's sexuality. I just love it when Sheploo is seen with other male protagonists, and not just Ash, Miranda and alien babes.

I love that image so very much... Seriously, Bioware, if my gayShep can't have Kaidan in ME3, will you at least release actual, discernable images of James Vega so that I can fantasize about my gayShep hooking up with him instead?

IMO there's just no way they would remove Kaidan's s/s romane again. Especially after already confirming s/s romances. I'm sure it will be in the game! ^_^

That picture was released before the decision was even made to implement S/S romances, so I don't think it was a secret hint.

Why would they even bother hinting it? It's not that significant.

Probably just wanted to get Kaidan's face shown so that when some players save him they don't end up going "WTF is that?" which was arguably for the better since people were assuming he was Vega for awhile. =]

We don't know when was that decision made. It was announced a month ago, but it could've been in developement for much longer. Plus, based on Casey's tweets (especially the "oversimplification of no new LIs statement" one) it seems that it was Vega (or someone else) added later to the romance rooster, not Kaidan

Considering they've went as far as to make an announcement about s/s romances, I would wonder. Anyway, just a thought :P I'm too excited

Don't make the relationship open ended or universally bisexual BIOWARE! It isn't good writing to give everyone what they want all the time. Why? Because life isn't like that...sorry folks. That is part of the majic of Mass Effect. I messed up the possibility of a Tali romance because I decided to **** around with space fluzies. Its quite simple, I DON'T DESERVE HER because a good girl would be afraid of Captain **** BOY. The sad part is that I really wanted Tali but I got impatient and banged the easy chicks Kelly and Liara. Hmmm...sound familiar anyone.

Very true, but then again, BW never confirmed s/s romances for ME2 in the first place. This time we hear from a voice actor about s/s romance with the characters he playes a months after the official confirmation that there will be s/s romances in the game :D

I was puzzled about this too until very recently xD the 'loo' in Sheploo comes from his face model's name Mark Vanderloo. He's the guy who provided face for the default ManShep that's used on all promo material

Yeah I'm gonna err on the side of caution because I remember getting all excited about Thane's VA saying the same thing.

When did that happen? I don't recall it.

I do remember a Polish ME2 interview with MShep's (Polish) VA saying that Shepard could be romantically involved with other men. I think we all know how that turned out.

That one doesn't count. Shep voice actors always record the entire Shep script (male and female lines) thus that Polish mShep actor thought it was an option for mShep to romance guys.

I believe it was Thane's russian voice actor. On the old forums.

I don't have a link but I remember giggling like mad quite clearly.

It makes me wonder how the VA would know. Are they told by someone? Did Thane have gender-exclusive lines for MShep in the game's files?

I think there were some files where Thane was saying some romance lines with Shepard instead of Siha. Since Siha is female specific (means goddess doesn't it?) that does kind of suggest he's talking to a male Shepard.

It was a foreign VA? Then it can't even compare to Raphael confirming Kaidan s/s romance himself. Also, Russian language is much more gender-specific than English (the most impactful difference being gender-sensitive adjectives), something could easily get lost in translation, both in the early game translation script and then on the forums or the VA might have screwed up something etc.
