Like I said. Things change. I'm going to err on the side of caution.

And if Russian is more gender-specific than English that only makes it more likely the romance lines were written then cut out.

Okay, now i have seen this a couple o' times and i seriously cannot figure out what Sheploo means, someone care to explain? Posted Image

I was puzzled about this too until very recently xD the 'loo' in Sheploo comes from his face model's name Mark Vanderloo. He's the guy who provided face for the default ManShep that's used on all promo material

Ah, okay, so Sheploo just means "Male Shepard"?

Got it!

KoD: It means the default male Shepard that's based off Vanderloo not male Shepard.

I'm assuming that Garrus won't be a s/s option. But I don't see nothing wrong with you 'sudenly developping feelings for Garrus'. It is your character, after all.

oh well then i'm guessing only Kaiden and the new guy James Vega will be Shepard's options? but idk will see when it comes out^_^

Not in the context of translating from English to Slav languages. When you have a "You're beautiful" line in English, it applies to both male and female Shepard. But in many Slav languages, the adjectives (and verbs as well) are gender-sensitive and are different when addressing males and females. That's why gender mistakes are not uncommon in Slav translations/dubbings of various media. It is entirely possible to have an english dialogue/scene without any gender references. When a translator doesn't know the context perfectly, he may simply not know what's the gender of the people in a particular scene.

Male Shepard but the one with Mark Vanderloo's face, the default face you see on the covers and posters. :)

Has there been confirmation yet that femsheps will be able to romance Ashley in ME3? I'm really hoping for it.

No yet unfortunately. Rahpael Sbarge only confirmed Kaidan will be available for mShep to romance. He didn't say anything about Ash.

He actually didn't really confirm it did he? He just said he supported it.

Hmm, well I don't think they'd do one and not the other, so I'm gonna take that as a good sign. Thanks for the info!

No, both the podcaster who asked him about it and MarqueAZ from here, BSN, who also was at the panel confirmed that he did indeed say there will be s/s romance for Kaidan, Marque even mentions giggles in the audience when he said it. Then he said he doesn't mind it all, is supportive, happy about it etc. The podcaster also provided additional info on how Raphael said that BW wrote it in the game the way that it's possible. Everything's here, all the tweets and quotes.

I'm willing to suspect the options will be the VS and the new squadmates... which is still a tad unbalanced if you include Liara... maybe there'll be a third m/m option? Maybe they'll open Thane up?

I still want a femshep/talimance but I'm not holding a lot of hope.

Hmm..... well, cool beans I suppose. The part of me that wanted my male Shep to bang him back in ME1 is squee-ing but the part of me that rolled my eyes at the "Everyone is now bi!" approach of DA2 is facepalming. We'll see how they handle it though.

Soo... that means Bioware went through the effort of justifying Kaiden's new sexuality in the story?

"Yeah Shep, I was totally checkin out your @ss during those long elevator rides, but the way you were always all over Liara I didn't think ya swung that way."

Don't know. It could be interpreted in many different ways.

"BW wrote his character since the begining to leave the door open for possible romance in future thus now the romance was possible to implement in ME3"

or

"BW wrote it the way that makes sense and is not some 'the new meds for my headache turned me bi' nonsense"

or something else.

Actually I figured Garrus would be the most likely to be a S/S option, at least lore wise. Garrus doesn't go for femshep because she is female, or even because she is human for that matter. Garrus goes for femshep out of respect, (which made me come up with all sorts of theories for how romance works with Turians... Kinky.)  In fact femshep has to be the one who initiates it to begin the romance, or Garrus doesn't even think about femshep romantically in any way.

As such, the only reason Garrus can't be in a relationship with maleshep, is because the player is not given the option to ask.

Not that I'd be into gay Garrus (I'll let my GF handle that one), but one way it could be explained is if the Turian warrior culture is similar to the Spartans. Spartans, and I believe the Assyrians, actually encouraged their warriors to develop sexual relationships to solidify unit cohesion. Garrus could actually feel HONORED if male Shepard hit on him as female Shepard could, and that may explain his own sexual encounter with his sparring partner.

Of course, that would not make it a "romance" as much as it would be a case of warrior "F" friends. Not every relationship has to be an epic romance, in my opinion, but I wonder how many unhappy players there will be if, say, Miranda, Garrus or Kelly tell Shepard "It's been fun!" instead of "I'll love you forever!" no matter how hard your pursue them. I could even see that being the case with female Shepard and Ashley if the game makers make Ashley hetero-flexible instead of truly bisexual.

Obviously, Cerberus sprinkled Kaidan with rainbow dust and it turned him gay.

I dont think there should be any besides ones in me1. Did any of you ever think there was a reason no one in me2 wanted same sex romance? Maybe every one was straight is this hard to believe?

I hope to god they dont ruin garrus or tali by making you able to have romance by same sex in me3 when clearly they were not interest in same sex in me2.

Always the most hilarious when it's Garrus and/or Tali fans talking about 'ruining' characters by making them available as LIs after they weren't in previous game.

What really happened is now Kaidan is possessed by a spirit from the fade, and now that he is possessed he is bisexual... Just like all the gays and bis in the real world are possessed by demons, that's what makes them the way they are.

This is sarcasm by the way. Text makes it difficult to convey that.

I am really happy about Kaidan though. I hope everyone's same sex and straight romance dreams come true.
