Wait, gay romances are in ME3? I thought that there were no gays in the Mass Effect universe, wasn't that the line last time?
Who do you think is invading the earth in the ME3 trailers? They're back, they're gay, and they're pissed.

Or people don't trust Bioware's writers not to **** up and compromise said characters... character. See the argument about Liara's change between ME1 and ME2.(I personally like how she was handled, but a lot of people don't)

Maybe ME3 can introduce an all-male mono-gender race to balance out the Asari, made up of hunky red guys who speak with Antivan accents. They wouldn't REALLY be gay male romances, though, since mono-gendered races shouldn't count as gay.
P.S. -- They can impregnate ANYBODY!
monogendered
one lol

Mpreg... how nice.
I actually find the Asari very odd. I can't help but think their skin feels like jelly. Also, I never saw the appeal of the spanish accent.
And about the 'mono-gendered' part... people who thinks their FShep isn't at least bi for romancing someone like Liara, who have a face like a girl, a body like a girl, a voice like a girl and, at least I assume, sexual parts like a girl are just fooling themselves.

I always thought Asari skin looked sort of pebbly. As far as mono-gendered goes... Well, mono means one. They're not genderless. They just all have the same gender. In this case, female.

I've never really understood the "mono-gendered" argument anyway. The codex clearly states this is an all-female race. If you romance both Kaidan and Liara, Kaidan says "I didn't realize you were into other women." And they refer to themselves as sister, mother, daughter, hell Maiden/Matron/Matriarch. These are hardly gender neutral words. See "The Left Hand of Darkness" for a true concept of a humanoid race without gender.

I wish I could say the recent news on Kaidan sounds promising, but we've been down this road before. The VA could simply be making an assumption based on a few pronoun variables in the script that are there just for the sake of being there or perhaps due to some mild consideration that won't follow through.
As far as I see it right now it's either Kaidan or James Vega. I just don't see why Bioware would choose Kaidan to be the s/s option over Vega, especially given how vocal the community has been against changing the sexualities of old characters.

Too an Asari...there is no such thing as male....but we see it from our own human perspective....because we aren't Asari.
We've been on this road before with Polish VA for mShep and Russian VA for Thane. Neither of these examples can even compare to Raphael. Not only both concerned VAs were for foreign versions of the game thus further away from the source (BW), but also there's a case of translations errors (esp. when translation from English to Slav languages) and the fact Shep voice actors always record the entire Shep script (both male & female lines) so for Shep actors it appears they're romancing everyone.Blacklash93 wrote...

Read the info here. Based on 2 independent reports of what he said, it seems rather clear he doesn't assume anything and actually is fully aware of BW having to make the s/s romance for Kaidan make sense which he says they did.Blacklash93 wrote...

Which is a complete nonsense and BW knows it perfectly. You think they would submit to illogical argument? Not to mention how vocal fans of mShep/Kaidan romance were for years.Blacklash93 wrote...
