The only instance where "homosexual" makes sense from the standpoint of an asari is if she prefers other asari as sex partners. Since that's the only species/gender that is the same as her. Preferring aliens of either gender makes the asari xenophilic, not "heterosexual", since that term would only have meaning if asari were a two-gendered species.

And frankly, it disturbs me that the "pureblood" bias among asari so strongly corresponds to bias against human homosexuality. Can't have the hawt alien babes preferring to sleep with each other, now can we?

A quote which would mean so much more if BioWare wasn't throwing human women at Asair like pitches to a dunk tank containing Michael Bay.

Nah, Space bisexual women are totally cool...just not Space lesbians.

Most asari are seen with maliens, trufax.

Now if Bioware was really clever they'd have Asari read female to humans and male to Turians. Why?

"Asari look just like blue Turians! Look at the head fringe!"

And as it turns out, head fringes are a male secondary sexual characteristic for Turians (the one that looks "bald" is a Turian woman). But sadly there's no way that Bioware will do anything that interesting with Asari given that we haven't even seem female turians (or krogans, or salarians) in-game haha.

Yeah, all of the asari-alien pairings I've seen have been asari-male alien. I haven't seen a single asari-female alien pairing, whether it be human or quarian (the only two-gendered species for whom we have female character models). I hope that changes in ME3.

Dammit, Bioware!? WTF!

You're totally right, all the Asari we see paired up in the background are with males. Even Asari who mention their parents were the result of an asari/male alien pairing (that offspring of a krogan and asari in the bar. She was awesome, though.)
There are two exceptions to that, though. Liara herself is the result of Asari/Asari and Mornith is as well (Which, adding the Ardat-Yakshi thing really makes me wonder how the species got on before space-flight).
Oh, theres one more, doesn't Gianna Parsini make a comment about sleeping with Asari? I've never seen it, is it one of those MaleShep Only tidbits?

No,  she makes a comment about how she likes the chance to put asari behind bars...  but, it comes off as one of the most sexual things in the whole series.  It's kinda funny.

"I love nailing asari. So ageless and superior. Then you get them and they squeal like schoolgirls."

And we've seen an Asari/Female Human pairing. Lair of the Shadow Broker vids have Al-Jilani hooking up with a random asari. ;)

You know, even if they did make every romanceable companion bi-sexual (which I highly doubt they will, for various reasons), I shouldn't think it'll be too straining on the psyche. It's not like they're going to have a giant orgy together.

Unfortunately.

Yeah, but that's an Easter egg more than anything else. It would be nice if somebody like Aria had a human or quarian girlfriend, for instance. Or even a turian girlfriend (female turians, salarians and krogan in ME3 plz).

Yeah, and I can think of worse things they could do to strain the believability quotient than have 7 or 8 people give Shepard "come-hither" eyes. Yeah, it might be a little odd, why's Shepard so sexy anyway? It's not like BioWare's going to have Shepard get killed in the early part of the game, and then get resurrected through heretofore-unknown and not-well-explained junk science/tech. Or have Shepard suddenly start working for an enemy from the previous game with no opt-out. Or fight a giant robot with human "genetic material" coursing through it's robot veins...

Oh wait...

Yeah, BioWare, space orgies fit right in. Make it so. ;)

Well actually, didn't Lair of the shadow broker show some female human and Asari partners? Or is my memory just being silly today?

Call me terrible but I'm totally down with the idea of Aria having some form of female... pet. ;) I don't care on the species or anything but I think it would fit her bravado quite a bit. Probably a touch stereotypical but I tend to think Aria's ego would greatly appreciate those that fall around her instead of trying to have an equal. Then again the opposite would be rather sweet, so it could work either way.

A lot of that has to do with the fact that there are only two races with male/female models in the game (human and quarian), and three species with females.

There are several instances of human females/asari pairing though. Several dancing couples in the game, Morinth and Nef, Shiala's attraction to femShep, the Consort and femShep. It's there.

The dancing couples aren't clearly marked as a 'romantic pair' though...they could just be dancing.

Morinth and Nef...that's one...not a very good one.

And the rest involve FemShep...

Dave, hmmm, Garrus says in ME2 that if Shepard were turian, he'd be complimenting her waist or her fringe.... Does it mean he views her as male? Ooooh, Garrus is gay after all :)
