thanks for the tips. i'll apply that on my next play through.
To me he looked just the typical gay rave boy.
i 'll keep the facial hair though, i mean, have you been to a gay party lately? haha.
facial hair is in again in 2185 .

Personally, I'm rarely impressed with most custom man-sheps, but then, I'm very exacting when I customize faces.

i take it you know your stuff. I don't , i just fumble in the dark there so the advice was welcome. :)

god, i'm so lost, i don't even know what this thread is about anymore.  <_<

anyway, i just want to show you my new Shep, whom i 've made as gay as i could. ;)
do you think he's too "pretty boy" like ? i thought a blondie type would be such a cute match with the dark Kaidan or the bad boy Vega.
If anyone has any tweaking tips, please speak up :)

OOoooh!  That is one of the best looking custom MaleSheps I've ever seen! Could you pass along your settings for that? =]

the code is up there, i don't know how to post it properly.
he looks funny on that pic.
i plan on using him as my cannon Shep in ME3... but with a few tweaks.
i've got a few other different screenshots here :

A large part of that comes from a background in art and understanding the porportions of a face. That's not to say some people dont have facial features that totally ignore those "rules" but, there's some things that just look more astheically pleasing when you're going for a certain look.

The reason I gave the advice I did was because I interprety "pretty boy" a certain way. I associate it with more feminen features, hence: larger eyes, rounded cheeks/cheek bones, narrow chin, and overall "softer" features.

Thats why I say, "take it with a grain of salt" because what works for one person isn't the same as another. :)

Edit: Seeing the second image I'd say round out the cheeks if you can. That's not an easy task since male'sheps face has a lot more hard angles.

i envy that competence.
but true, pretty boy can be misleading. In my gay book, pretty boy is a stereotype of what is often seen as the young gay ideal : so actually strong features, angular face, overall masculine looking but as the same time , the guy who spends way too much time fixing himself in the morning, haha.

I go for a more rugged appearance in my ManSheps, all three of mine have facial hair of some kind a very masculine features. My gay Sentinel has the most rugged skin texture, and my wannabe-ladies' man Infiltrator has the smoothest, while my drop-dead-gorgeous Vanguard has the "middle" that I personally like the best. Personally, I tend to pay the most attention to the various Height and Width settings, I don't like chins the stick out too far, cheekbones that are too prominent, noses that are too close to the mouth, or mouths that are too close to the bottom of the chin. I do sometimes make the ears stick out a bit though, as Will Smith shows, sometimes that can work. I also sometimes make the nose a bit prominent, to avoid a "too pretty" look. I also stay away from very pale skintones on my guys. I have pix in my album if anyone is interested, it's not strictly "on topic" so I won't post 'em here. I think I already did many pages ago anyway.

But I think any ManShep will look nice next to his main squeeze in ME3, whether it's Kaidan or some other fella. :wizard:

I'd probably do the same, were it not for that awkward gap where there should be sideburns.  The face creator needs a serious overhaul for ME3.

I'll weigh in with my creation methodology one more time, then I'll try to stay on topic. Promise <3

I've actually begun to create around themes, at least when I have a slider system as robust as DA2's was.
For example, my current avatar, I started with stretching her features out tall-wise as a base, then slowly brought them back and dialed them into a shape that worked and didn't look "off".

Mr. Vega has very kissable lips, and if he is gay-exclusive in ME3, I will enjoy putting his mouth to good use. <3

I am pretty sure we have brought up squad member hookups that do not include Shepard, but have we ever done one concerning only s/s squad member hookups?

I put my vote in for Joker and Kaidan. Hurry up and render that 3D photo, please. Thank you.

I've been known to go a little nuts about my OTP of Miranda/Liara.
