Well I am mostly just skimming, and stopping to read the interesting (read controversial) parts.

And I am glad to know that about Tali and Garrus. I just know people were assuming they were perma squaddies for a while. Not that I am against them being there, but i don't want my Shep with them dead to miss out a large portion of game.

Although to be fair, across all my saves every character is dead at least once, because I want to see how they deal with that in ME3

i did say i made my Shep as gay as i could, but what i meant is "what looks typically hot in a gay environment" . .. just head to South Beach ..

i did say i made my Shep as gay as i could, but what i meant is "what looks typically hot in a gay environment" . .. just head to South Beach .. 

last time i was in south beach i acted like a total **** and was satified but not proud of my self

That is what my female adept Shepard said, and did. Quite happily, I am sure. I will be sure to make him a gay soldier Shepard for ME3.

And to join in about catching up after so many pages, I find that I make a comment here at least once a day if the other Abispa has not just so I can find my place. Otherwise, if you all really get going, I would feel like Shepard yelling at Jacob at the Lazarus facility.

I also get the sense that there will be revolving squad members through the game, and I guess it would make sense for some of the characters to be with their original branch of service when the war gets hot.

In the case of Miranda, even IF she is no longer loyal to Cerberus (I hold out hope for a well-written betrayal), I am sure that the Alliance, Turian security, and the Salarian STG would be looking to get their hands on her so she will have to lay low. Tali will be back with the fleet (maybe replacing her father), and Liara may be commanding her SB-created army.

What I wonder is that IF a LI dies in ME3, will there be an emotional enough scene in the game to justify NOT immediately stopping the game to go back and "fix" the outcome? On principle I always play through a game and save my first play-through as my "official" save. Yes, my original survivor colonist female soldier has a save that is far from meta-game perfect, but she is the Shepard I have the most personal sense of attachment to.

I *finally* started up an Ashley romance just so my Shep could go from Ash to Miri. 

I am severely tempted to romance Tali though.

Yes, I remember that, and that scene along with Miranda expressing her disappointment at Shepard for SAVING the base made me consider the character a failure. I loved her introduction as a character who challenged Shepard. Yes, I knew that she would definitely be a LI for (male) Shepard, but I figured that in order to do so he would have to be a renegade or that they would have an old-school James Bond like hero/villainess romance.

I want her to betray Shepard, by whatever convoluted means necessary because I really really really wanted to like her. Maybe TIM has a control chip in HER brain or something.

Instead she goes from being tough and awesome ****y to "impressed" in one mission, whines about her low self esteem constantly until Shepard saves her sister in a bad comic book plot loyalty mission ("Who is your father?" "A businessman, but a very wealthy one." Gag), and then becomes your typical Shepard groupie who fawns over him and trade places with Liara, ME1's awe-filled groupie, since Liara grows a backbone in LotSB.

The male Shepards I play are all gay, but even if they were straight they would not be interested.

I have read Miranda fans defend her by saying something equivalent to "Of course she is loyal now, Shepard saved her sister." Yes, Shepard did. But if you were paying attention, so did TIM, her father figure for more than a decade.

Maybe it was because there were so many characters introduced in ME2 that she was short-changed, but I always felt her change of heart was a fan service (along with the many close up shots of her behind) and not a meaningful conversion. Maybe if a few of the conversations with Shepard showed her being SHOCKED at the true horror or inneptitude of Cerberus I would not have felt her change to be so artificial and jarring.

At least she is consistant and become loyal to male Shepards who do no romance her and female Shepard as well, otherwise I would be making constant jokes about the indoctrinating power of Shepard's magic sperm.

I'd of been disappointed too. 
I'd have saved the base...but I had to give it to Cerberus. Cerberus who can't do anything that's not related to Shepard right.

But she spent the entire game brushing off any criticism of Cerberus by blaming all the bad stuff on rogue elements. If she had made some admissions that Cerberus is a piece of crap organization during the game I would not have been so disappointed.

You know, just for the hell of it, I had a female Shepard try to hit on Morrinth to see what would happen. The screen went blue and I was in my room and a message was on my computer from Kelly asking to come up and join me. Confused, I invited Kelly up. No, the exotic dancing did not confuse me, just the fact that THAT Shepard had watched Kelly melt into goo on the Collector's ship. Zombie erotica freaks me out. Sorry.

Because she doesn't realize the extent of the derp until she travels with Shepard. 

(that said she should've started going "WTF" at certain points and Shepard and her should've had some meaningful debates about Cerberus that she didn't brush off as "rogue cells". That said a conversation just about how TIM oversees projects and what that meant for Teltin with her being silent at the end as Shepard walked off would've been perfect for showing her beginning to doubt Cerberus). 

So yeah I kind of agree. I just drag her around for cap like overlord to give her something to think about.
