My favourite part is how some companions - Garrus, Tali and so forth - were apparently not developed in ME1, thus explaining there sudden romantic interest in Shepard in ME2. Others however - namely Ashley and Kaidan - were naturally completely developed in ME1 despite not featuring any more face time or 'let me tell you about my life' conversation, making any bi-sexual announcements in ME3 totally against character and all that noise.

Well, obviously.

Thats because in me1 they were not devloped now they are its only been 6 or so months between me2 and me3 i dont think they would all of a sudden want or take both.

Male Shepard has a more supportive waist,  I'm just saying.

Don't forget the ME3 editor lets you give Shepard fringe implants, giving Garrus and awkward lump in his pants.

Off topic, but Michelle Rodriguez is supposedly bisexual anyway. She was in a relationship with the woman who played the T-X in Terminator 3, I can't remember her name. Kristanna Lokken I think.

Hmm, according to at least a dozen internet news sites, Mayte Michelle Rodriguez does indeed "like it all." Lots of photographs present to remind me... what a... talented actress she is and her wonderful... body of work.

Um, can this wait? I have some calibrations I need to run.

Yep that's her.

:innocent:

Personally Erica Cerra would make a better Ashley, looks more like her.  Plus she wouldn't totally be up for doing a love scene with femshep.  Just google "erica cerra l word" with safe search off for proof!

There is no immersion without ma Legion. D:

But yeah...character's sexualities are pretty low on the inconsistencies in ME meter.

*coughThermalclipscough* Why yes a military will go from near infinite bullets to needing to reload. That makes perfect sense. :innocent:

That is one tall woman <3.

You may be right,  I haven't seen Erica Cerra in much outside of a couple Eureaka episodes so she didn't directly come to mind.  I would be opposed  she does seem erm, willing.

You know, as is often the case, you only think of what you should have said retroactively? Well, yep.

"Miranda can't be bi-sexual, she wants children!"

Twice the women, twice the wombs.

Also All Lesbians Want Kids is a well documented trope.

Yeah I likes em tall, Lauren Jackson is better thought, at 6'5 and she's an aussie!

Umm on topic....uhh...she could play *trys to think of any blondes in ME* Kaira Stirling, from Noveria.  That's right definitely some sexual tension there :?

Is the gay shep movie we're discussing casting a male lead?

Well, as the flagship couple if I were to cast/make it, it would be thus:
MaleShep/Kaidan, played by... Josh Duhamel (Lennox from the Transformers Movies) as Shepard (Good looking, charismatic, quality actor, plays miliary type well (shoe-in for a Paragon Shep)). And Sean Maher (Simon from Firefly) as Kaidan (very good actor, just throw a couple more pounds of muscle on him to sell the military look).

As for a FemShep led movie... hmm...
Femshep/Liara

I'll have to get back to you on that. I'm very picky about actresses....

EDIT: Jamie Pressly (Tina in D.O.A.) as femshep (Strong, athletic, hot, and a fine actress, AND the right age range). And, as much as I would try to avoid pulling from the same show(s), I think Jewel Staite (Kaylee from Firefly) would make an excellent Liara (cute, perky, and can do sweetly naive without being annoying.

Now, that's my core cast. I'd probably do things to sneak in other actors I would love to have in there for stunt/action quality. (Put Scott Adkins in a Turian Suit and let him kick ass, for example).

EDIT AGAIN: Before you ask me why I wouldn't cast Scott as ManShep or Kaidan, I ask you to watch "Ninja". You'll understand. He's a hell of an action star, but his romantic acting needs a lot of work, yet.

Thomas Dekker actually sounds a lot like Kaidan's voice actor and he's really talented. I am not sure he could pull off the tough military type, though. He was John Connor in The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but John Connor never really toughened up in that show. Supposedly he would have in the third season, but since it was cancelled, we will never know if he could pull it off.

To put this in some context, I'm going to have to talk about playing Mass Effect 1 as ManShep and FemShep...

I had already romanced Ash as ManShep. When I got around to finally playing as FemShep there was no other character who interested more than Ash.I still wished to be with her, regardless of the fact that we were now the same gender. But BioWare prevented this from taking place. <_< At first I was disappointed, but then it occured to me that I kind of liked the fact that they decided not to make Gunnery Chief Ashley Williams into such a tired an worn stereotype of, " Ooh.. She's strong, athletic and a soldier -- She must be a lesbo!"  I read an article a while back that said when Mass Effect was still in its production phase, Ash/Kaidan were both bi-sexual.But in Ash case I'm glad they decided to make her go against the grain of expectations. In fact one of the things thst I like so much about her character is how many wonderful contradictions that she's full of.Her behavior is kind of unpredictable in some ways.

I'll never forget how surprised I was when during the Virmire mission she volunteered to work with the STG.
Or how she's "not the biggest fan of aliens" and believes humanity needs to "stand on its own" but she can't stand the Terra Firma Party or Cerberus, and she would never give them her support. And how even though she has every reason to hate the Alliance after how they have treated her grandfather, herself and her lover (Commander Shepard) she has decided to "tough it out" with them.

Like I said, "Unpredictable Behavior."

Kaidan Alenko: With him I think BW made a mistake in not allowing the possibilty of a same sex relationship with Commander Shepard.Despite the fact that during character creation we were not permitted to decide Shepard's sexual orientation. It would have been really cool to have the possibilty of  Kaidan being the first male that he ever felt about in a romantic way.For it to be his first time. That could have been a very interesting place to go in a video game. B)

Maybe ManShep will get a chance to explore such feelings with Kaidan in ME 3... But I think Ashley should stay heterosexual. :police:

@ xassantex -- Maybe she could be Morinth in the movie. I know it's supposed to take place during the First Contact War, but she is several hundred years old.

Okay, in order to keep this thread going, let's bring up the movie we'll never see, "Mass Effect: The Adventures of Gay Shepard." Who would YOU want to star as the movie's first couple?

According to my GF, who's male Shepard's are all gay, she wants Rodrigo Santoro as Shepard and Ryan Reynolds as Joker. Not sure about that combo myself, but then the only gay couple I have currently is Shepard and Liara and I'm having trouble with the whole blue tentacle thing.

Only Seth Green can be Joker.
Especially not Ryan Reynolds. He's hot but I'm sick of his face being everywhere <_<

But this is just obligatory who we want to see making out as ME's character right?
Alex o"Loughlin as Shepard
Matt Bomer as Kaidan.
=]

HNNNNNGGGGGGGG  Matt Bomer
