I don't think it's being particularly optimistic to suggest Bioware aren't going to cut out s/s content just for the sake of it.

It's in the game. It's well budgeted and well resourced. They have six months extra development time to polish and fix up all sorts of features that wouldn't have seen the light of day otherwise.

To suggest that s/s will fall victim to budget cuts, leaving players with just one option that they don't want anyway, is remarkably pessimistic. At least wait and see what other new characters Bioware announce.

Maybe they'll anounce a bisexual male alien or a bisexual minor npc you can have a fling with (unlikely, unless it's another woman like Kelly), but I still think Vega will be the only bisexual male squad mate in the entire franchise for both budget and marketing reasons.

Oh... look it's another one of EA marketing's focus group participants for ME3. Sure let's make a feature to turn any offensive or annoying dialogue off, in my case I'd like a feature to turn off the heterosexual romance dialogue for male Shepard please along with another one to turn off any and all James Vega dialogue specifically written for new players.

That's how you and I think, not how Kaidan thinks though. That's my point, he was just written this way, perhaps on purpouse to not bring up the topic of bi/homosexuality between Kaidan and mShep at all. Think about it, they've cut the gay romance between the two due to time constraints. If there was a scene in which Kaidan asked Shep about his sexuality, it would be inconsistent for Kaidan not to flirt with mShep after already having the knowledge mShep is into dudes. Not to mention the cutting and lack of their romance would be even more eye-soaring and in the face of gay players this way. Doubt BW would want to tant us "Yeah, both are bi but you still can't have them romance each other ha!" after already taking it outta the game.

Or maybe he's just a shy guy. I'm bisexual and I feel more confortable hitting on girls than on guys. That doesn't make me straight at all...

I just learned about m/m romances being included at last in ME...any news on who he/they is/are?? Hope one of them is the VS

and its a fair compromise u get what you want a gay character and i get what i want no gays in my game i  think an option to get rid of ****** dialog would be a good idea on bioware part i really dont feal like hearing about vega's feelings i just want him to kill **** thats it

No hints at all about who will be same-sex romance options in ME3. Maybe we'll get some news at ComicCon! :happy:

3. It is safe to asume ME3 will have same sex romances and you woun't be able to turn them of either.
4. I woun't be surprised if majority of future Bioware games will include same sex romances since it obviously adds to the games success, an no it' unlikely you'll be able to turn them off.
So either forget about Bioware games, or deal with it.

There's some unconfirmed information that Bioware are/were planning a s/s relationship for Kaidan at least (and so, presumably Ashley as well). The voice actor Raphael Sbarge was asked a question at an event and seemed to suggest with his answer that he'd heard something from Bioware about s/s. 

But nobody got a copy of the audio and the answer wasn't very certain, so I'd take it as speculation at this stage. 

That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the VS is indeed available.

LOL I thought a m/m romance with kaidan would also be a brand new one, it's not like we had the chance to romance him properly before, is it? Besides I kinda don't like James look though, he looks like hulk with awesome massive nostrils to me. Anyways I'm hopeful. The only bad thing is the waiting...<_<

They've been pretty dead-set on there not being a multiplayer function and having absolutely no interest in including one.
Probably because their multiplayer devs need to be focusing on TOR instead of adding something new to ME.

And as for mech/vehicle combat that could be religated to DLC like it was in ME2. Bioware uses seperate teams and budgets for DLC so if they go that route again it won't force anything to be cut from the main game at all.
