Oh they officially said it's going to have a choice generator?
I agree with your prediction though. I'm 100% sure that Kaiden will be an s/s option, I just don't think he'll be the only one.

I understand you cant have a gay relationship in the first two ME? So If I go with Tali in the first and Miranda in the second, will I be able to hit it off quickly with Kaidan in the third?
Thanks!

That said, they don't let you kill Isabela. She's the one character in DA2 who's most likely to get the vindictive "you don't conform to my social norms!" kill treatment from the fanbase (bisexual female who dares to be sexually promiscuous and defy the player character's storytelling authority), and she's the only LI you genuinely can't meaningfully punish just because you don't like her. So that kind of suggests a certain degree of defiance of the angry dudebros sneaking into the writing there.
Of course, that said, I also think the VS is likely because they're probably going to try to offer m/m Sheps something as close to the three-game romance arc that het male and all female Sheps get as possible, which means either Joker or Kaidan, and Joker has no corresponding female equivalent to offer the f/f crowd (apart from Liara, but last I heard they were still claiming Liara doesn't count).

Aw bless. You're def. new.
But yeah, you can't romance Tali in ME. Ashley, Kaidan, and Liara are the only romances there.
As far as Kaidan in ME3 goes we have no idea. We don't even know if he will be s/s romancable. There's a strong chance and some evidence to support it but nothing is set in stone until an official announcement by Casey Hudson or the game comes out (the latter will probably happen first to be honest)
To be safe you may want to keep one playthrough where you don't romance anyone. That's what most of us did. Then use other playthroughs to do romances, test the morality system choices, etc.

Oh, right. :3
ME --> Liara?
ME2 --> Miranda
ME3 ---> Kaidan (Finally!
Or would it be better to go the first two with no love interests?
edit: oh, thanks Jimmy for answering.
....and why don't my emoticons work??

I think you could go and romance someone else, but honestly, we have no idea if romancing anyone in ME1 and/or ME2 will influence the romance between Kaidan and male Shepard in ME3. Perhaps it will, perhaps not. You could have 2 saves and play the games twice differently just to be safe
Welcome again sweetie! <3

Aw,
Thanks you all for answering me. I have only made my second post in this forum and I have already grown to love it here. You are all very warm and open to views!
I will do what you suggest, I would like to play through the game twice anyway so I can get a better feel for the game and the story.

Oh no, an in-game male avatar might hit on you! Your masculinity has been damaged!
Seriously, I accidentally romanced Ashley once and laughed my ass off about it because it was so awkward; why do people take offense to this kind of stuff? I just reset my game to the last save point.

I like Ashley well enough, but I really hate Miranda. (I'm a Jack loyalist, so is there any wonder why?)
That's why it wouldn't bother me to break their hearts by going gay in ME3. "Sorry, but not even the perfect woman is man enough for me!"
Ash would definitely rage... Miranda would turn all cold and silent... and my manShep would be hanging off of Vega, all, "U mad?!"
I hope that this is an option in ME3. Shepards in heterosexual relationships shouldn't be excluded from the new same-sex content!

Now. I think between buy ME1 & ME2 before play ME3 in Next year (like Quorrah) or wait until ME3 released.
If I decide to Play ME1&2 I think I will play Male Shepard with No Love interest. for prove Kaidan to know that I'm waiting for him.
sorry for my Poor English Skill. T_T

This is a very good point, actually.
If we're assuming that they'd try and offer equal numbers of romance options for male and female Shepards, they'd need to have a 'trilogy-spanning' Joker-equivalent, and given that Chakwas can a) be dead and
Isaac and Ryzaki and Arxduke: I don't want to be the one to point it out, but your constant sniping is both immature and annoying. Take it to PM if you have a problem with each other, there's no point spamming this thread with what amounts to a dispute over which virtual bunch of pixels is more attractive and how you're all thinking of inventive ways to murder whichever characters you don't like.

*Possible Spoiler Ahead - DA2*
This was a problem I had while playing DA2 and trying to become friends with Anders. Yes, you can easily say "no" and move on with the game but it's the fact that my character was confronted with this awkward situation I had no desire to deal with. It ruined my perception of him as a "comrade" and instead replaced it with a feeling that I had to be careful with the way I interacted with him throughout the game unless I wanted to stir up romantic dialogue again. I found this slightly tragic because I liked Anders's character otherwise, and wanted very much so to be his good friend.
Again, this just went against my personal preference in what happens when you interact with your companions. If they could implement an option that can toggle same-sex romances on and off before starting a new game, I would be happy. I don't necessarily have anything against people enjoying them in the game, it's just not something I want to be forced to deal with as the story unfolds if I want to pursue friendships with my NPC comrades. That's my bit.

Nothing kills the immersion for me like trying to strengthen comradery with party members through dialogue and getting same-sex romance options instead.
Immersion, your using it wrong.
I can understand you saying that you would prefer to not be hit on by males, but, veiling it in "Immersion" is laughable.

They made a conscious choice with Anders to make him try to initiate romance. You'll notice he's the only character of either gender to do so. There was enough backlash where I imagine Bioware won't have a character try to initiate romances again, but given Anders' character, it made sense for him to try to find something to cling to.Ken_Parix777 wrote...

Again, my Shepard was accidentally raped by Ashley. I laughed it off and reloaded. No big deal, honestly. Then again, I don't see that scene as damaging my masculinity in anyway, unlike some people...

ashley gets blown up on virmire every playthrough both me and my bf have tried playthroughs where we spare her but nope cant freaking stand her
also hearing morrigans "its cold all alone in my tent what ever shall i do" line makes me crack up expecially with how you can reject her with almost equally awful lines
it doesnt get annoying for me unless its like what iu had to deal with leliena...seriously 5 freaking rejections in a single playthrough
