That's a very meta-gamey argument though and it's also subjective.  I never felt this way and enjoyed my DA2 romance loads.  It didn't feel cheap or inauthentic.  I romanced Merrill, but neither Isabela's nor Anders' nor Fenris' potential romance status towards male and female Hawke's ever affect my experience of it.

Your own perception is making them 'inauthentic'.

Stop teasing me with what we will most likely never be able to get, IsaacShep, besides Liara isn't an S/S option since she's technically not even female.

My money's still on only Vega and the new female lead being actually available for s/s in the finished game.

This.... GAH. She's of the female sex, but defined gender roles don't exhist in asari culture. There's a difference!
