Not according to FoxNews, if you go by what they said they were several minutes long and you could pick positions!
I still can't even think about that without laughing.

I love how they had an "expert" (like Sarah Palin is an "expert") that was saying things like: "It objectifies women!" and then the guy debating against her from G4 (forget his name; he's kinda cute) was like: "Ma'am have you played the game?" She replies: "No." He then says: "Are you aware that you can play as female Commander Shepard and get those scenes as well?"

I 'effin' LAWLed so hard! All I could hear was "PWNed" in my head!

The blog that it was based on - run by a man called Kevin McCullough - were even more hilarious. Here's an example:

It's called "Mass Effect" and it allows its players - universally male no doubt - to engage in the most realistic sex acts ever conceived. One can custom design the shape, form, bodies, race, hair style, breast size of the images they wish to "engage" and then watch in crystal clear, LCD, 54 inch screen, HD clarity as the video game "persons" hump in every form, format, multiple, gender-oriented possibility they can think of.
...
Then there's the dishonesty behind the game' title. "Mass Effect" sounds like a war game with a deadly virus that is spreading unless the GI-Joes are able to defeat the evil and deadly substance and it's covert war plan. By it's design, kids could ask for it, or for their parents' Best Buy Card to go purchase it with nary a raised eye-brow. Generic, non-descriptive, and relatively harmless.

... because of the digital chip age in which we live - "Mass Effect" can be customized to sodomize whatever, whoever, however, the game player wishes. With it's "over the net" capabilities virtual orgasmic rape is just the push of a button away.

Even with the prudes, I have no idea why they didn't do the sex scenes ME1-style. 1st rule of marketing, people! Never turn down free marketing!

Everyone seems to also forget that EA wrote Fox a letter ripping them a new one over the review AND the reviewer was fired.

@FoxHound She actually laughed when she said no. LAUGHED! How can you laugh about researching what they called you to give an opinion about?

@Arawn I've read about that. But I didn't know she'd been actually fired but with the terrible job she did in that and other interviews I'm not exactly amazed. Still a pity Fox didn't apologise.

Let's go back to the important arguments...

Kaidan will be an s/s romance option: yes or no?
Kaidan will be a: top or bottom?

Vega will be an s/s romance option: yes or no?
Vega will be a: top or bottom?

Garrus will be an s/s romance option: yes or no?
Garrus will be a: top or bottom?

Ashley will be an s/s romance option: yes or no?

Miranda will be an s/s romance option: yes or no?

Inquiring minds want to know. XD

Kaidan, most likely no, but if he is I want my ManSheps to serve under him for a change.

Vega, probably yes and if I had to guess I'd say bottom but I'm not particularly interested in finding out.

Garrus, since Garrus can die and might not even be included in the regular squad this time, I don't think he will be available for s/s but if he were to be available I think Garrus would be versatile.

Ashley will be s/s in the unlikely event that Kaidan is also s/s, or at least that's what I keep telling myself.
However, I fear there may in fact be a tiny chance that they'll make Ashley s/s without giving Kaidan the same consideration just because we all know "f/f is way more hawt", "most people will see Ashley" and there's apparently "very little love for Kaidan" beyond these boards.

I consider Miranda an even less likely candidate for s/s than Garrus but with Bioware writers you can never be certain.

Any particular reason why you want Vega to be a bottom?

That said, it'd hard to judge the, ah, position someone prefers. I wonder what would happen if two bottom/tops tried to have sex. Not that anal sex is the only option, I suppose.

Masculine bottoms are hot thats why

Also being mostly a bottom myself and my first bf also being a bottom it tended to be me having top top

Though i prefer flip flopping now if i can get away with it

I never thought about what role my gay Sentinel would prefer. He's kind of a stoic guy, a Colonist/Sole Survivor with abandonment issues and a bit of trouble reading social cues (he chose mostly neutral dialog options and doesn't have high Paragon or Renegade scores). He was nice to everyone in both games, especially the humans, but didn't let them get "too close". He had a tiny crush on Alenko, but nothing too Twilight-ey. I honestly don't know how he'd feel about Vega, I guess I'll know more when I see Vega in the game.

This is why.

I certainly hope so, anyway. The alternative - that they actually, genuinely believe in what they say - is far more depressing.

I am yet to think of what I would prefer with the love interest, but maybe he should be a biotic. Biotic gay sex seems fun.

I thought about this long and hard and decided it's best for me to not bother posting in this thread anymore. For every one rational post looking to have a discussion I get two to three mocking post looking to incite anger and while they fail they do disrupt my train of thought. So while I was considering many of the valid posts the gravity of those I disagree with concern me.

I think this is a game and games should be fun. Even if that means that you get a toggle to turn everyone bi so you can play it how you like. Or one to turn everyone to traditional gender roles I think games should be about fun and not political statements. Nor meant to challenge your opinions, ideals or Lifestyle choices unless the game's storyline or gameplay is designed for that.

I don't see the offense but I do get that some may feel like they are being marginalized from the option of a toggle. But the reality is people don't have to accept you, they don't have to accept me it is their choice. I'd much rather make 10 friends who want to be friends with me rather then 100 friends made because of and from social pressures.

I stated this earlier and gamer girl responded to it.

gamer_girl wrote...

Ok I think I figured out that nonsense. You are asking for us to tolerate you while you are intolerant of homoesxuality. You think my being intolerant of you is showing that I'm being a hypocrite. If I tolerate you, that's showing I tolerate intolerance. If I tolerate what you say, that shows I have no problem with intolerance. However paradoxical it may seem, I can't tolerate your intolerant words because I don't like people who are intolerant of something that is a human right.

I myself have no problem with how people live their lives so long as it doesn't affect my rights, freedoms and etc.

Unknown to Gamer girl is the fact I've had friends take me to gay parades, pull me into parades gay bar hop with them it was wild, a bunch of craziness. I had fun I found them all to be funny, protective(women and men) and I always had a blast. But at the end of the day I'm straight and they knew it, they were homosexual and I knew it.

Their was no agenda we just enjoyed each others company. But I don't think everyone will have had the same experience I've had and tolerance must given otherwise people won't get to know the individual. Not Tolerating intolerance is in fact intolerance, I think so long as one isn't assaulted verbally or physically it's a none issue. As you can catch more flies with honey.

But too many people assault others over their view that's what needs to stop or we will never understand each other.

Anyway here's to hoping BW creates a game we can all enjoy.

I was saddened to see that a twitter post by one of the ME writers said that Krogan love is off the table. I can't remember where it was, exactly, but I know it was in one of the character threads, most likely Ashley's.

:crying:

I also see that Chun Hei has admitted her desire to see some gay male sex in ME3. Having watched her role playing, I don't get the feeling that it's the same for her as it is for the fanboy who enjoys "HAWT lesbo action." She thinks its wonderful that two characters are allowed to fully express their love for each other and can even get misty about it. However, she has never, to my knowledge, played a lesbian except when metagaming.

As for me playing s/s, my experiences are with Lileana and Liara. I pretty much try to role play my character in a way that seems to make sense to me. My mage was never allowed to have a real relationship in the Circle and was thrilled to find someone who seemed to love almost unconditionally. My bad ass female Shepard would never allow herself to romance a fellow soldier and the wide-eyed Liara is a rare ****** in her armor. I was going to get rid of the save myself until I played LotSB. I LOVED the "new" Liara while I loved the fact that my Shepard had her reservations and left the game with a sense of forboding over the relationship and Liara's new job.
