Unfortunately for me, in this case, I think I'm far more likely to be disappointed than you are.

Well I don't see why they wouldn't make the aliens BI I mean aliens shouldn't be interested in humans in the first place (except the asari) if they are going to have hetero alien sex they might as well have same sex different species relationships .

Do you think that if Shepard has more than one previous love-interest, the new ME3 love-interests will automatically reject Shepard for having "too much on his plate"?

Because the more I think about it, the more I really want to make a new Shepard who romances Ashley and Kelly and Miranda, but then dumps them all for a man in ME3. It would be hilarious to me. And kind of.... strangely satisfying. You see, I already have a gay male Shepard who has stayed single and lonely all through ME1 and ME2, but now I want to make a bisexual Shepard who says, "You know what? Fine, Bioware! I'll play your game! I'll romance my way through space and have galaxy-shaking sex with every woman I meet! And it'll be AWESOME! ....but then I'll dump them all for a man the moment one becomes available."

Oh yes, it would be amazing.

But do you think the Bioware writers will let me get away with it? Juggling that many romances... that's a lot of variables, a lot of state-checks, a lot of dialogue.... A part of me thinks that the new love-interests, regardless of gender, will simply turn Shepard down if he or she already has two or more love-interests. What do you think?

I adore Kaidan and my main Shep has been pining after him since ME1 but ever since having seen Vega I've had doubts about who i want, I mean look at Vega's body, it;s shallow but... there's something alluring about a man who can break your back while you're screwing. Plus he'd totally be able to top Shep and I don't think Kaidan could...

I think they'll be more like ME1 love scenes. If the majority of sex scenes are between humans or Asari. If not, then unfortunately I predict the repeat of ME2 dry-humping, for the simple reason they won't bother designing and creating textures for full alien bodes of Tali, Garrus, Thane and possible other new species just for a 20 seconds sex scene.

I think they will make romancing even more characters incredibly difficult but for the sake of new content being accessible to players old and new of any timeline (sans dead Shep ones) I don't think you'll be locked out.

Or let me put it this way, you'll be locked out of relationships with them until you go through an extensive break-up procedure and showing of not interest while also preserving the break-upee's feelings (we don't want to give the new LI a reason to doubt your sincereity).

Just think of it as romancing Sky from Jade Empire, before he'd even consider it you had to make sure that Dawn Star explicitly knew you were friends and nothing more, and tell Silk Fox to stop being a **** and ******-off.

I wonder also if they have bit off more they can chew with all the romancable characters. I hope these romances are great it really adds  to the whole space opera vibe I get when I play ME. And adds a lot of replayablity.

And this is a  MATURE game so they should push their limits.

Perhaps it could be both in game and the response you get is directly dependent on not only how you handle the break up but also how you approach a relationship with them, too much sex related flirting leads to your first response of Shepard the player, whereas some more emotional connection stuff would lead to the second response of 'wow you really like me'
