There is indeed a double standard for men vs women. I don't support support this double standard and I think the joke was meant to point out how ridiculous it is.

With that said...it is rather distasteful.

No offense of course. Just banter. 

And I'll be honest; I'd tell such a joke to my friends. And they'd throw back at my what was already thrown back at me along the lines of "well, I'll never know which key it is and your key is too small for my lock..." and then they laugh at me for my "small key" and then I laugh at them for their "big lock" and then we just don't give a damn anymore.

The movies "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad World" and "Robin Hood: Princes of Thieves" both played the rape of a woman for laughs. In situations in films that I can think of that might qualify as the rape of a man by a woman the act is usually depicted NOT as an act of violence but as being incredibly embarrassing. Something to the effect of: "Wow, she is really ugly! I can't let my ego suffer to have sex with her!" or "Oh no! My wife/girlfriend/parents/ninja assassins is/are in the next room! I'll get into trouble!"

Granted rape is really never funny but if it's okay to laugh at one version it should be okay to laugh at another.  

No never funny.  Ppl who think so confuse it with sex rather than power and control.  It's not about sex.

That said, ppl use humour differently, but if someone responds that it was offensive, the proper response is an apology imo.   This kind of trickled off of my original post about War Games.  I don't think I said something offensive, but please let me know if I did.

There are many cultures interacting here, and I don't understand them all, but I never intend to be offensive and I do want to learn and understand what to avoid if I am offensive by accident.

I'm morbidly curious about what the new human female squadmate will be like (assuming we get one). What class she'll be and how she'll behave. If she's awesome enough, I'll make a femshep for her.

Yes people tend to mock/laugh at male rape victims especially if their rapist was a female. "Oh if you got it up you must've wanted it!"  which...okay that's horrible but then you laugh at the reverse and all of a sudden they're dead serious and go "RAPE ISN'T FUNNY YO!" ...oh so it's only funny when it happens to men?  <_<

Rape isn't funny no matter what the gender is involved.  I don't know what circles you hang ut with,  but,  joking about rape in any way shape or form isn't funny,  nor should any form of victim be derided because of those involved.

If we get Ashley as part of the bi VS package a new non-human would be awesome.  If not I would hope and think that the new f/f LI we are assuming will exists will be human.  And off all the probable races a female turian would be the most likely I think.

I'm basing my assumption on equalling out Vega. Theres one that could be either (Ash/Kaidan) one male (Vega) so, it'd stand to reason that we'd get at least one more female.

Well, if it's going to be a f/f interest it better not be another damn asari.

I'm hoping for female turian as well but that probably takes the f/f option off the table.

Personally, I would like a human female available for f/f not because I dislike asari, but because I prefer humans.  I would be okay with a new asari squadmate who was romancable, but I would be far happier with a human.

Unless it's Aria.  I would give up most human females for Aria.

Oh I love the asari and certainly wouldn't mind another for F/F (looking at you Samara...) but I must admit I'd like the other option to be human. As much as I like my Sheps being xenophiles, I'm really hoping for Ash and if that falls through, hopefully there will be a new LI to fall back on.
