I have about a million ME saves and characters so I am assuming that I'll be able to use one of those even though I romanced another LI, to be my gay shep? At least I hope I hate playing default! Kaidan has always been my best bud in ME1 so I have decided to use him for my m/m playthrough now lets hope he is actually an option.

Do I have a GayShep? Of course I have a GayShep! I have all kinds of Sheps. My GayShep is a Colonist/Sole Survivor/Sentinel, and he saved Kaidan on Virmire, so the potential is there. If anything, he and Kaidan might be too much alike to ever get together. That Shepard doesn't really get close to people easily, he's lost too many friends over the years, and he's still reeling from losing Ashley and Jack.

I'll probably be going for Vega if possible but Kaidans relationship with Shepard spans all three games so Kaidan/Shepard seems more fitting. I dunno, there'll probably only be one option anyway.

 It always gets me when people get all excited over Zaeed saying it, but that's probably because I'm a massive Zoe (and of course Gina Torres ) fangirl, grunt and think "The line didn't originate with Zaeed..."

Heavily suggested by the devs. Hudson killed off Garrus in ME3 by being "a bad leader" with something involving a mech according to a tweet. [said he was gonna reload which suggests he can save him if he does the mission right] (which I'm guessing anyone else can be in Garrus situation that can be on the squad save maybe Vega and Liara due to plot shield necessity). Not your average war story and what not. Permanent squaddies aren't actually permanent (because they might die mid game is the subtext to me). Which is why they're so reluctant to say anyone's permanent. 

Chances are everyone on the squad can die. 

Plus "Virmire like situations." 

Besides heavy armor =/= invisibility as Wrex and Grunt can easily tell you.

Or perhaps he was just saying Garrus died in a standard combat play?
