I think the characters in ME2 suffered because there were too many of them. If I were to cut anywhere it would be Thane. Of all the characters in the ME series he is the one I am most apathetic about. I do not like his look, his powers, his voice or his species as a concept.

If we found out his wife was a pig-looking alien that would be funny.

"Be alive with me tonight." Barf.

Jacob, Thane, Zaheed, yeah, there where too many characters, too little facetime.

Jacob and thane I agree! But Zaeed! Thats heresy! <_<

My basset hound found a snake today, I love hounds.

Since when did "basset hound" become a euphemism for "bunhole?"

God made Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Everytime I hear this argument I have to point out:
God made Adam and Lilith, according to the Torah's Genesis, which is SUPPOSED to be the Christian old testement. And guess what? That ended in "devorce" because Lilith refused to be subserviant to Adam.

And DON'T start quoting Leviticus because that same book says if a woman is raped, she's the one who sinned, but its okay if she marries her rapist.

Outside of his personal mission, I barely used him. I think it might've been different though if he had a dialogue tree.

That's because God did what any loving, caring higher being would do: he pimped slapped Lilith out of existence!

Back on topic: If Vega turns out to be an s/s romance option, then I want my manShep to be able to canonically say the line: "I came, I saw, I came."

As far as s/s is concerned for Thane, I am all for it in concept as I am with any character, but if he were to remain "straight" it would not disappoint me in the least.

There was that one email from the Salarian he saved which was interesting because 1) it seemed to have homosexual undertones, 2) it was cross species and didn't involving humans or Asari, and 3) it was from a Salarian, who don't have sex drives like other species (according to Mordin).

Hahaha I feel so left out of this religion topic. Never read the bible and probably won't be anytime soon.

Yup. This is because most Abrahamic religions are horribly patriarchal. Lilith gets pimped slapped out of existence because she wasn't obedient to Adam, Eve gets blamed for the fall of mankind (don't even get me started on how ridiculously stupid the Adam and Eve exile story is because I could write pages), and women who are raped are either stoned to death or forced to marry their rapist. Lest we forget lovely stories like Sodom and Gomorrah, where Lot tries to give his daughters up to a crowd of rapists to save a group of angels, then his wife gets turned to salt for taking one last fleeting look at the city where she grew up in, and then Lot's daughters get him drunk and rape him in the middle of the night.

That's why I love the Bible: values.

Don't worry; most people who you see arguing about what the bible says whatnot probably haven't read it either.

Yep.

Deuteronomy 22:28-29: If a man is caught in the act of raping a young woman who is not engaged, he must pay fifty pieces of silver to her father.  Then he must marry the young woman because he violated her, and he will never be allowed to divorce her.

Sorry, as a Christian (more spiritually than religiously) I can't stand ignorant Christians using their faith as an excuse to be bigots.

On Topic: Still not sold on any of the possible m/m options. Really haven't since Zevran, and even then, I had to warm up to him. Kaidan is probably the one I like most, but I can't get past the Carth voice. Nothing against the actor.

Do not quote inflammatory content. Just report and ignore it. Religious debates are not permitted on these forums, and I would hate to see anyone get banned over a troll. Please, please, everyone, move on to a different topic, and report anything bigoted and inflammatory.

This is true.

Now back to how sexy Vega is...

...and Kaidan, let's not forget the new, sexy Kaidan!

I am an atheist. When I die, I'm going to do what Jesus, Mohammad, Stalin, and that WWII German dude Bioware won't let me name did: assume room temperature and start to disintegrate. That being said, I feel in necessary to remind you that talking about religion and quoting the Bible for almost ANY reason can shut this thread down quickly.

Which may be WHY the troll brought the Bible up in first place.

I think I'd prefer Kaidan over Vega for LI if I had to choose, beyond having a history with Shep I just find Kaidan more physically appealing whereas Vega sort of looks a gorilla. Personal opinion only though, if I had it my way they would be LIs so there could be choice.

Sorry. :pinched:

So, do you think the announcement later today will have anything to do with the Vigilante?

No more Mass Effect for Comic-Con. Casey is off to LA for some VO recordings and 3D work. Hm. Anybody tracking Yvonne's movements? :o

Well I for one like the gorilla look. Very manly. *RAWR*

But I really, really hope it's both. If Bioware REALLY listens to its fans then it probably WILL be both because it seems that s/s male romance camp is split almost evenly between Alenko and Vega, with a few rare mentions of Garrus and Thane.

There's another announcement due today? I thought that everything was over. Casey Hudson Tweeted that he's done with SDCC.

If there's an announcement, yeah, I hope that it's about new characters, like Vega or the Vigilante.
