1. NO character has been gay in a BioWare game. They were either straight or bisexual.
2. Read #1
3. Bicurious? That's not even an orientation. I don't want any of the female LIs to suddenly take notes from Katy Perry. "I kissed a girl and I liked it"? No thanks. Also, we know next to nothing about s/s romances right now. Stop overreacting.

1. You like the same sex? Your gay.

2. "Bisexual" is a gay person who also has sex with the opposite sex. All bisexuals are gay, but not all gays are bisexuals.

3. We are not discussing what's in the actual game. We are discussing each other's ideals on s/s implimentation. It's a hypothetical discussion at this point.

You know....I was trying to respect your side of the argument. But your logic, honey....you need some pbs ed-u-macation...where's the arthur site?

So if Zevran was female only in DA3 we'd just chalk it up to our own ignorance. Let's face, we didn't create him. Maybe he was just experimenting with guys and finally realized he doesn't like men. We don't know. Derp!

Could you please answer my question? Why can't you just be happy with new characters? Why do you insist on changing previously establish heterosexuals into homosexuals?

If Zevran was an LI in DA3 period we'd have a lt more to worry about than his sexuality. <_< (like why is he cheating on the Warden.)

You know...I was on your side first. But now...I'm wondering if I sound like you. I don't want to sound like you. You're raging not making much sense...and yeah. *switches sides*

You were never on my side. Nice try though.

After femShep starts romancing Liara, isn't there a scene in which Ashley brings it up to Shepard, and Shepard asks if Ashley has a problem because she's female? Does anyone remember (and a link would be great) Ashley's response?

I really don't remember this ever occuring.

That very well could be the case, it's been years and I only vaguely remember. Maybe it was some other game/movie or something.

Erhm...no. There's more to sex then putting the thing into the thing. When we say homosexuality, bisexuality and heterosexuality - we're talking about attraction. That's why we have these terms and not some blanket term. A bisexual is attracted to both sexes. Some people swing more to one then the other but if they swing at all to both then they are bisexual. You'd be hard pressed to find 100% homosexual.

You're right. I never was foolish enough to insist that gays and bisexuals were the same.

I guess a bisexual is just a straight person that sleeps with the same sex huh? According to that *brilliant* logic all the old LIs would do just fine.

Point #2 is not accurate. I don't think you truly understand the concept of bisexuality, many bisexuals are primarily heterosexual, with a proportionately smaller attraction to same-sex partners. It is seldom a 50-50 split, and regardless, a person who is bisexual is neither gay nor straight by definition.

And it bears repeating that this is in keeping with their vision. David Gaider put it eloquently in the DA2 forum, and their track record reinforces this.

Thanks though.

Um no. They opened up the romances for everyone in DA2 because it was easier and less expensive to implement.

I played DAO, ME1, ME2, and Jade Empire and I believe that's how Bioware INTENDED their characters to be.
DA2 was made to appease disgruntled gay fans and ME3 offers s/s romance because the gay crowd has beeen demanding it.

I'm no fan of M/M romance but if Femshep can les out with Kelly, Liara, and Morinth/Samara Bioware shouldn't lie to us and say their are no gay relatiionships.

.

So you believe Leliana was originally gay and turned bisexual due to appeasement?

And DA2 was made due to appeasement?  Riight we're not gonna agree. BW made their characters the way they wanted them. If some part of that is fanservice it's not more so than making Garrus and Tali romances to begin with (or making the Asari race as a whole).

Yes I do and its a reason I NEVER romance her with a male character..
Garrus and Tali romances were appeasement and I will never romance Tali
Bioware from the beginning intended to create the Asari race, they didn't appear in the middle of the series
I think its obvious Bioware intended for Shepard to be straight except for femshep
 from the beginning

So Tali starts buying the nerve program masturbating and looking up human-qurian sex topics and all that stuff if you're a "femshep"?

If that is the case then I'm sold. Tali IS gay.

For the record, is THAT what you are claiming

You think something has to be demanded to be fanservice when that's not true. No one demanded all the LIs in DA2 be bisexual. (it was assumed they were by many people and most just wanted a choice in LIs). So...yah.

As for BW intentions. Right. They obviously intended SHepard to be straight. That's totally why they only cut the dialogue because it didn't do justice to Ash and Kaidan not because it didn't work with Shepard. Let's ignore that.

So this post isn't *completely* off topic: I really want Big Ben. No backstory, no retcons, no appeasement. I just want him tobe gay, to be open about it (not to the extent that he hits on Shepard but to have no qualms about expressing interest and attraction to other men) and to make no apologies for it.

Exactly!. just give in and soon Bioware will be creating Date Simulators.

I should say pro gay crowd.  Politely Asking and demanding both sound like extremes we should find a middle ground.
