Replayed ME1 to make a MaleShep/Soldier/Barrier character; he will be my canon Shep. I'm a gay-gamer (male) and was super excited when I learned that ME3 will feature S/S romances. But I'm worried. Since Most of the characters introduced have been straight, how will BioWare approach this new feature? Will there be new characters introduced or will old characters be tweaked a little?

I'm curious what everyone's thoughts are on this subject. Personally, I hope either Kaidan, Thane or James are potential romance options for my MaleShep.

most characters havnt outright stated if they are bi...

and the "oh they talk about women" excuse doesnt really work any ways since 1)some people still have a preferance and 2) zevran talked about his sexual excapades with women 99% of the time even if you romanced him as a male

as for romancing Kaidan... well if hes the only s/s love interest my sheps still gonna be single im afraid =/

As for the current discussion, I'd be happier if the femShep chosen weren't a blonde windswept conventionally attractive white chick, but it's nice to see some love. Now if only Ash or Miranda could be the ones giving it...

Yeah, I'm hoping for Kaidan and Vega as same-sex romances. I'm hoping for Joker, too, but I think that might be impossible... Anyway, Thane and Jacob are second on my list, but I wouldn't say no to Garrus, either. Or Zaeed. Or Mordin. Or Gavorn...

Asses, Bioware news conferences with NO new information on s/s, fisting, "special toys," shower scenes, sex in the shower, drawings that look like Ashley, who's legal [drinking age, that is], and... that's about it.

Well, sex in the shower would only be possible if the water was turned off - I don't want to pay giant bills and wasting water is bad. Meaning it'll be like having sex while standing, only in the bathroom.

I'll stick with the bed/coffee table, thank you.

What we know so far is that there will be at least one new male and female character to romance for gay gamers (to conslusion so far is that it's going to be Vega for guys) and that BW is working on Kaidan's gay romance. We know nothing more than that, not ever rumors regarding anyone else unfortunately.

Sex in a running shower is good when someone else is paying for the water. College dorms, for example. (In the midwest, so it's not like water is hard to come by.) This is really easy when you share a gender with your lover and can just walk into the bathroom together, but I also got a book and sat down outside the women's bathroom on guard duty for about half an hour once, sending people elsewhere so one of my friends could get some from her visiting out-of-town boyfriend. Good times.

You know, Zaeed would actually make a pretty awesome s/s love interest. Has he ever mentioned a past relationship of any kind? And stereotypical he is not.

I don't know that I'd say Kaidan has been "straight". He makes a couple comments about the opposite sex in some conversations, but he's never come out and said something overtly heterosexual to manShep in the games that I can remember.

Vega is an unknown. I don't care what they do, because my only gayShep is crushing hard on Kaidan, and he's not going to just jump on the first slab of beef that comes along. I wouldn't make another save just to romance Vega (my manShep is with Liara, and I had one Miranda, but I like her so little that I didn't save it), so whatever. Besides, if you can't even keep any of the characters with you for most the game, what relationship are you really going to have (not as strong as with Kaidan, that's for sure)?

Thane is an odd duck. A duck-frog. I don't even want to know what his ME2 romance is like. Hopefully he dies soon so you're not all out in public and he has one of those flashbacks of y'all having sex and getting all nasty. "Whoa! He put the what in the where of the who, now?"

Garrus I don't see as liking anybody. He might swing with some turians, but he seems more like a lizard child to me. He needs to get his head together before getting involved with somebody (and even then... a human?). I wouldn't be any more convinced for him to romance manShep than I am that he romances femShep.

He mentioned something with a Asari (I think it was a asari, at least), but she betrayed him. To be honest, I don't see Zaeed as a s/s option, but I won't complain if it happens.

Yeah, Zaeed had a "thing" with an Asari until she betrayed him and put a "sour note" on the relationship.

Still, I always saw Zaeed as an uncaring omnisexual. Like, he doesn't give a flying frak about your gender or race, so long as you get his rocks off. I always assumed that he and Vido used to do it like rabbits until Vido shot him in the face... but maybe I was the only one who got that vibe.

Wow! Are we still talking about sex in the shower! It is wonderful but you have to be careful with the soap.

Zaeed needs a hug badly. If he were s/s I would make a Shepard just for him but not a female because... I do not know why really. Oh well.

I am pretty sure the water in the Normandy is recycled and purified and then reused. I may not be "believable" but neither are the huge windows. Even in the ME universe windows are supposed to be "structural weaknesses. Geth do not use them." That is why space windows IRL are so small.
