I only have one straight Hawke out of five, and she's the black hawk of my wonderful, gay nest.

Heh. I have one straight Hawke in about 15+. Poor guy. But Merrill is good for him.

I only did her for a Sebamance and it wasn't worth it (friendmance and such). And while I can get motivated to play DA II pretty easily (to see a scene I missed, to test a new build, to know more about a character) Sebastian isn't a good enough reason.

Well, according to some people, even 1 bisexual in the entire Universe is unrealistic. ;-)

Didn't you read? Bisexuals were an ancient race that built San Fransico and then randomly disappeared. Also the DNA of ancient bisexuals matches that of present day Collec...errr....I mean hipsters. :?

Ah yes, "bisexuals", we have dismissed that claim.

I bet straight people wouldn't have a problem with the characters being bisexual, when they were the minority and only got half of the character choices that gay people had. Why can't you imagine that gays or lesbians want the same variety of choices? Yes, of course, there's only 1 gay person among 10 straight people in real life. yadda yadda. But does it matter? It's a game and I think a game should please everyone. There are so many films whith heterosexual love content. The advantage of video games is, that we can create our 'own' story. We can choose which character we love or hate, and so on. It's "our" story. And it doesn't take the characters away from you, if other sexual orientated people habe the same chance. In my opinion, the solution to make everyone available for both genders in DA2 was great. And don't forget; The characters aren't automatically bi if they are available for everyone. Merril, for example, didn't make a bisexual impression when you played as a man. Anders doesn't mention that he's bi, when you play as female Hawke. The characters' personality depends on the gender we chose at the beginning. If you want Merril being straight, then don't watch Youtube where a girl is playing her game while romancing Merril. Because her sexuality isn't predetermined in opposition to Isabelas'. bisexuality.

Or do you have problems with the guys hitting on you? To be honest, there was only one guy who made a clear hint and that was Anders. And it isn't unrealistic if there is one guy flirting with you. Fenri's sexuality depends on your own choice. He isn't automatically bi. If you don't make a hint he does not flirt with you.

So, I think it's not correct to say "everyone was bisexual in DA2, that was sooooo unrealistic". And please, straight guys...Imagine you would be the minority. You'd be so glad if you finally had the chance to create your own world in mind, where you don't have to search everywhere to find one guy or girl who's finally straight in the end.

I'm always amazed that out of ALL the choices a player can make in a Bioware RPG, and even to the degree that players complained about the recent LACK of party customization in Bioware RPGs, it's the ability to POSSIBLY have a s/s romance with a "bro" or "sista" that sends the critics over the edge.

I would LOVE to have the power to Ctrl+Alt+Delete people who complain about s/s romance being a player's choice AND write epic critical essays about no longer being able to dress up Isabela or Miranda, make Fenris learn sword & shield techniques or make Garrus a shotgun expert, or make Liara learn overload or Merril learn a healing spell.

I will never understand this.  Never, ever, in a million years.  It's a part of the game that "they" will never see unless you choose.  Why deny others the opportunity to play the game that they want to play?  Why does it matter to them?  In truth it leaves only one logical conclusion as to the nature of the complaints.

The character continuity excuses are even more problematic (in my opinion).  Sexual orientation is not a character trait and is not tantamount to defining and creating a well-rounded, compelling character.  A person could create a flat, uninteresting character who is gay or lesbian.  The situation the characters are placed within, the interaction they all have with each other, the personality that motivates them, these components define characters as they manifest in front of us.   Of course, a crewmate of Shepard would never keep a secret or hide anything from him/her.  No never.  A well-rounded character never has their own motivations for doing things and lays all of their cards out on the table for Shepard to see.

Watch out for Grunt, though. He has the potential to be the ME3 Zevran.

Nice video, Kaidan fans should be happy.

Is there any chance some talented hacker can make a Krogan love video featuring Wrex, Grunt, and Wreav set to Meat Loaf's "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)"

I'm not saying that it would be about Krogan love with other Krogans. Although I suppose they could both be involved with a third partner and not technically be engaging in incest.

Okay, I'm putting too much thought into this now. I'm stopping.
