Perhaps others feel the straight PC is entitled to more options by some magical right and the gay PC should only have their one token bisexual option that they then have to share with the straight PC. In most cultures, straight people just have more rights than gays so I think this bias gets carried over to this issue.

I console myself with the knowledge that, of the characters who received their own fancy dlc content pack in the remotely recent Bioware games (meaning, since they actually started making fancy dlc content packs), two out of three have been s/s romances.

^_^

The only complaint I ever had was that there were more men hitting on me them woman. It should have been balanced.

There were only 4 bisexual LIs. Two in each gender...

Plus Zev, and the elf prostitute wanting to have sex with you. And woman get Seb.

I have to agree with this. Sure Isabela hit on the player...but she's one female.

Where's Zevran, Anders, Brothel elf are all males who hit on the player.

I wouldn't mind more females hitting on the PC myself...though I doubt they'd do it for female PCs.

Perhaps they figure men are more aggressive?  IDK...

I would have like at least one thing initiated by Merrill if I indeed flirted with her first, so she won't be forcing herself on unwilling, unsuspecting het female PCs.

Seems like more like a coincidence from what characters show up (and who they are) than anything deliberate. Zevran and Anders hit on Hawke in their own way for their own reasons, because that's essentially just who they are.

Besides Jethann's, y'know, a prostitute. Him hitting on Hawke sort of goes without saying.

But it kind of looks bad  unequal when the player can sleep with him and not the other prostitue...what's her name...Idunna? Yeah her.

I suppose, though Idunna was a little to distracting to sleep with, what with the whole 'trying to manipulate Hawke into cutting his/her own throat' thing. There's plenty of other lady prostitutes around, they're just not involved in quests.

Not that I'm saying there aren't more men hitting on Hawke than women, but I don't think it was some deliberate demonstration that men are supposed to be more confident about that kind of thing.

Could've slept with her before Hawke started asking about the templars. ;)

Oh I don't think it's deliberate either. It just happened to be how the cookie crumbled. (Like how there were more attractive females up for sex that weren't prostitutes in DAO) The balance just went the other way this time.

...I still don't understand why BW gave the gals the monstrocity that is Cammen. That was just cruel. :crying:

Cammen was better looking in Origins by a lot. Elves in general were better looking in Origins imo.

Yeah...Cammen does manage to look better than a lot of DA2 elves...he's still ugly though.

Or wait hang on. Was the elven prostitute's name Cammen? I thought it was some messed up name starting with a J...

Edit:
Yes it was Jethann.
I guess the elves in Kirkwall are all just sickly looking compared to the ones in Ferelden.

DAO elf. Posted Image

A female player could choose to deflower him if she wanted. Of course males got the far more attractive Gheyna.

Now if Teagan had been available for some bumping and grinding. :bandit:

Oh I thought we were talking about the elven gigolo still. My bad.

Edit:
Didn't even know you could sleep with Cammen or Gheyna. I always reunited them haha.

I don't think it was intentional either for there to be more men hitting on Lady Hawke and Male Hawke. I'm just saying, on my first playthrough as a male, and having 4 guys hit on me and want to have sex with me (and a fifth wants a no-sex marriage if I'm a Lady), unpaid, and only 2 girls (one of them who likes to sleep around) who'd do the same. And the only other girl that gives an offer really wants to kill you... Don't woman find me attractive? Why mostly men? :crying:

Dragon Age really isn't relevant to this topic, surely?

Kind of sorta. It is a way to see how Bioware is doing s/s relationships and content in the games now. We have to grasp at something since the devs are gleefully laughing at us fumbling in ignorance.

DA was done by a different team though, different writers especially. So regarding actual execution, I don't think it's any good indicator how will the ME3 romances be like. At least I hope so. Don't wanna hear how Vega would actually prefer my gay Shep to be a woman or anything like that.

I know it is a different team but we need to grasp at something otherwise we have no choice but to let the thread die since we have new information to go on and there is no reason to give suggestions because I doubt they are going to adding something too big now.

True that. Considering what Casey about the team being in final production stage and that he wouldn't be able to add anything at this point, all the dialoges are most likely locked and being recorded (perhaps even already done being recorded) so nothing we can do anymore. Ehh, wish we could at least get some new leak, like Raphael's slip up at the Comic Expo...  Maybe we will see love icons (if they implemented them) in the game's demo at Gamescom??? That could tell us which characters are romancable!

It's about two weeks away.

I doubt we'll see much more info, perhaps a character reveal or two.

Also Isaac - was Sbarge's comment at the Alberquerque (I probably spelt that wrong) Comic Con really a slip up? I mean, it was a fairly vague "I might've heard something like that but I can't really say for sure." To slip up and reveal something, he'd have to know what it was he was revealing :P

He knew what he was revealing, I mean he was asked specifically about male Shepard pursuing romantic relationship with Kaidan. And he also said afterwards that he thinks he wasn't suppoused to say that ;P Plus, it wasn't "I might've heard something" but he said BioWare mentioned that to him (mShep/Kaidan romance in ME3) and that he thinks they're still working on the writing.

All here :)

So I haven't really been following the 300+ pages of discussion that closely, but maybe someone can answer the following for me.  Does anyone actually care if Kaidan is revealed to be bi in ME3?  I've seen a lot of people stating that they don't want to see Garrus as a M/M option because it'll "ruin" their bromance, but I haven't really seen much ado about Kaidan, other than complaints from people who are dead set against M/M romances in general.
