Of course that would mean that the comic must be able to modify current saves and not just make new ones. I have no idea how hard that would be. S/s critics will still whine and moan though.

I have huge respect for Samara as a character, so one of my femSheps would probably go there so if offered...

I wonder if the comic will be the unofficial "gay toggle." The comic will let you say you are pining for a s/s LI and you then select Ashley or Kaidan as a LI and that will "turn on" the s/s initiations for their romances.

Bioware haven't (to my knowledge) talked about the comic yet, and last I heard it hadn't even been created or planned.
But it would be kinda clunky to have a comic meant only for new players serve as a subtle introduction to the S/S romances in ME3.
It'd be far easier to just have a dialogue option at the opening trial or when you first meet them. ("Your support means a lot to me." or "It's good to see you again." or something).

I'd love to have Tali available to FemShep. I'd have to create a new Shepard for her, but I already have one in mind!

All "legal" Asari are older women.
I already created a new maleShep for Tali, so I doubt I would do that for femShep. Samara, I just don't know.
I have been tempted to create another femShep to do a s/s relationship with, but I want to see what those options are first.
Ash-NO
Miri-NO
Jack-Maybe
Kasumi-Maybe
Tali-Doubtful
New Fem Character-Most likely.

Not sure how the new tweet is going to effect my buddy Jacob's chances of getting some play. Come on, s/s ME fans! Show "the Prize" some love!

Ditto.
Reading between the lines I'm thinking just the VS for s/s (in terms of old characters) and possibly new o/s romances.
Then there's the new ME3 characters, whoever they are.

I'd be fine with this.
Honestly, I have been arguing for the all-bi option mostly because I didn't want to be selfish.
But all I truly want for s/s is Ash and Kaidan. And a new human male and female option.

I wish Miranda was a bi option, but as it seems she's not. *sigh* she's my most favorite bioware character.I think there isn't any hope left.
It's a fine line between satisfying everyone and satisfying no-one, unfortunately.
I'd just as soon go for "make everyone romancable by both genders, it's 2186 and we're a freaking space-marine galactic-hero-sex-icon with everyone swooning at our feet", but I think enough people would get annoyed at certain characters being "ruined" (their words) by the presence of content that they wouldn't even see in their playthroughs to make it a hard choice for the developers.
I don't envy the job of Bioware's writing team but I do have to applaud them for at least giving it a shot. Not everyone is going to be happy (on both sides, especially if they don't get who they want) but something is better than nothing.

I had thought the only confirmed ones were Liara, Tali, Garrus, and the VS. That doesnt mean others wont be in it I think Mordin is pretty much guaranteed IMO to be a perma squaddie.

Yes, of course. And I'm looking forward to Ashley, because I like her too. ^^ I really hope that she will become a s/s option. (I heard every permanent squad member will be available for s/s and o/s...but let's wait and see). I hope in future Bioware games everyone will be available for both genders from the beginning. It might well be that some straight gamers would have a problem with everyone being bi, but as long as they get their romance option they should accept that we get the same. I hate that realism debate... Sometimes, I think it's better to build it into the character editor, because if straight people could disable the s/s option, they wouldn't have to complain...on the other hand, it's not good, because they wouldn't learn how to become tolerant to that kind of content...hm well, it's a difficult question. and as Bioware said, the problem of bugs would be much higher.

They can all be dead. It'd be a logistical nightmare for Bioware to try and make a squad out of all possible combinations of surviving ME2 squadmembers.
I'm thinking a system of extended cameos (where taking an ME2 squadmember is an optional bonus on certain missions, if they survived). Making them 'required', or 'permanent' just isn't going to happen.

Mac Walters (ME3 lead writer) has responded to a question on Twitter about re-romancing ME/ME2 characters.
Question:Is it possible in #ME3 to romance characters that WERE available as LIs in ME1/2 but we didn't romance them back then?
Answer:Good question. The answer: Some, but not all.
Interpret that how you will.
Huh. That's actually pretty nice news to wake up to. I was heavily figuring Casey's tweet from ages ago (the one about articles claiming old LIs would all be s/s options and that wasn't true) had meant that we were only going to get a new LI for our s/s stories. It's actually pretty nice to know that this isn't the case and I prepared for the worst for nothing.

continuity, lol whats that?
Edit: now if they make someone who was already established as bi or gay, or make a new one who is, thats fine, i just hate characters being altered because certain things.

No.
When did you ever see a character "establish" that they were a straight male?
Ever?
Yes, they talked about women. Bisexual people like women.
In the absence of any defined sexuality it's well within the rights of Bioware's writers to introduce an attraction to Shepard (or a response to Shepard's advances, more likely) in ME3.

in ME you are likely right, but there is a example i'd like to call them out on.
Oghren while arguing with Anders made a suggestion that a Templar was about to have his way with anders, which discusted him.
it might be a stretch, but to be fair, they did kinda alter him immensely character wise (more angsty, less upbeat and silly, etc)

Personally, I didn't understand it like that. I always thought he was disgusted because Oghren spoke about a templar, not because he was a man(it could perfectly be a female templar). Plus, later on we learned that his hate for templars corrupted justice into vengance, turning him from snarky and funny, to annoying and dull as hell (that change was NOT because he wanted to woo hawke as some people said)
