You have no idea how much I approve of Shepard's emotional armour starting to crack under the weight of events. One quick moment in LotSB amidst a sea of knuckle-cracking, hoo-ah!, macho marine show-no-weakness'ing wasn't really enough. My Shepard is a bottled up emotional wreck under her calm expression by this point. Being able to portray that in one sense or another sounds superb..
I am looking forward to this also. It's one of the many reasons I didn't really care for Arrival. One of my Shepards, Ellery is absolutely gutted at what she's just done to the batarians. She's got the Colonist backstory and mostly Paragon. She's worked really hard to not become a person of hatred and vengeance after her family was killed and now she's feeling like a total terrorist. This Shepard is also extremely professional and sort of reserved and reticent. She hasn't romanced anyone yet because of her extreme ethical dedication. Her views on fraternization are quite rigid though I imagine with the galaxy at stake she's more likely to change (especially now with more romance options...no more forever alone for her
Ellery's also a relatively dedicated marine but unlike my other Shepards, she's the one who could have seen her life going a completely different route if her home hadn't been raided. Sometimes she really regrets joining up, I think.
