Hey, that's what I did, patching my life to also include s/s romance at a later date [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie]

Yeah, well...
I'm still annoyed that it's not entirely bug-free.
The IRL developers sawk, they have yet to fix the economy and there's an extreme lack of endgame content.

At least I got full control over my dialogue choices, well, not always actually, especially when it comes to romances, I can be a drooling idiot, too.

I started with the s/s build. I was hoping I could avoid that gamebreaking heartbreak bug all the o/s users are always talking about. Apparently it's somehow fundamental to the code. <_<

I thought George Lucas said no to something like that.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought that was the case.

@Quething: I understand what you're saying, I really do. I don't personally feel that way, since to me they're talking about the same game I played, they're just using the wrong pronouns. My initial thought is still "mountains out of molehills," but since I'm not experiencing the kind of disconnect you're describing, I can't really comment.

Two odd things your post made me think of: 1, when playing ME I typically play BroSheps, but with the DA games I'm at least as likely to play a female Warden or Hawke as male. 2, despite being a straight guy who typically plays straight BroSheps, I've been spending most of my time lately at the Kaiden thread.

Nice to join this forum and pleased to see such a warm community. Great YouTube video with Alenko and MShep with great music and editing. Firstly, I am typing from my iPhone so autocorrect and spelling may be an issue. I agree with a lot of opinions on here. In addition to the above comment if mine I would to say how nice it is to hear that Bioware have decided to do S/S romance. I think some are a little hard on Bioware, they have made great strides for S/S gamers and was really surprised to hear that they decided to go back on straight MShep. I thought they said he was straight in previous Mass effects but could be wrong. I do think that they are one of the most open minded developers in the industry and it's nice they have our backs. apologies for off topic.
On topic: I would like to see Alenko and Vega as MShep options. Be nice to see Ashley and liara as Fshep options. No interest in aliens as romance options myself ;)

Welcome, Fubuki!

I just joined a few days ago myself after finally giving ME and ME2 a try. Played my first go-around with a modded MShep to romance Kaidan but am now playing an unmodded MShep so's I can have a 'clean' copy to import to ME3.

I'm dying to see what s/s options will be available for MSheps in ME3. There are so many rumors and reports from 'unnamed sources' flying about that I don't know what to believe. I guess we'll all find out March 2012 (crosses fingers that ME3 will be ready to go by then)!

Anyhoo, welcome once again! :)

And then you have to go on a stupidly long quest chain to fix the awful debuff you get from a friggin' bug.
A bug!

I can't understand why the developers can't just put symbols in the dialogue wheel just like Bioware did with DA2.

Believe daddy Isaac when he says Raphael Sbarge (Kaidan's voice) convirmed BioWare's writing Kaidan's s/s romance for ME3 :D

I would still find a way to screw up. Great at the combat bits, though...

Well, it's not ME, but Bioware just announced that the Star Wars game WILL have s/s AFTER they release a patch, bringing joy to many and consternation to others.

Other than a former TOR community manager who had no idea what he was talking about (he said that homosexuality didn't exist in Star Wars only to delete his post + apologise a few days later), I don't think Lucas Arts has a problem with it. George Lucas donated money to fight against Prop 8 and he's allowed gay characters in the past like Juhani.

Okay.  I thought that is what I heard.  It's a game I won't bother with.  I want KotOR 3 not a MMO.  But it is what it is.  Thanks for  the answer.

"Allowed". Not saying that Lucas himself did it, but Juhani's romance was very dumbed down, considering the original plans, thanks to Lucas Arts. Carth's and Bastila's romances have beggining, middle and end. Juhani's romance only has a end: before the final dungeon she asks "hot lesbian romance y/n?" and that's it.

And that's sad, because Juhani was nice :|

Yes, SWTOR and Skyrim will have s/s romance. We don't know the deep of Skyrim's romance, so it may as well be like Fable's. And SWTOR's s/s romance won't be avaliable at launch.

OMG, NO not like Fable please.  I was always too busy laughing at the NPC when the screen went black to take any marriage in Fable seriously.

Hopefully, Skyrim's will be good.  Have to wait and see in Nov.

Ugh, fable looked so bad. Still, I'm glad they included it even if being a lone wolf is the way to go. Re TOR, better late than never!

If "w/" means "with" then yes, we'll have s/s marriage. They only said we can't marry all the races, but both males and females will be avaliable for the player if he wears a special item.
