I would be SHOCKED if Joker isn't a romance option in ME3, even if he isn't a squad member. And I wouldn't be surprised if he were a "bi" option. I hate to be negative, but I do wonder if it will be a good thing that he's a character that certain players can't kill off before being exposed to Joker's potential "gayness."

Admittedly the number of gay character assassinations that will occur will be small compared the huge number of players that will play ME3, but I am depressed by the dozens or so BSN members who have expressed satisfaction that they won't be exposed to a "gay" Kaidan because he died on Virmire.

As for Vega, even if he were depicted as the most awesome comic character of all time, I still won't have any opinion of him until after my Shepard's meet in him ME3. I was totally ready to be a Miranda fan after seeing the previews and commercials for ME2, but watched her character become a confused mess. And the Thane hype left me cold before ME2's release and the game didn't get me to warm up to him much at all.

Complaints of any nature about S/S romance will be met with a sickening amount of memes.

After comics I like Vega. But I don't see mention of his BI person.

I did not think vega had been in the comics yet I do think if they do add ss romance and from all I read its happening he is the best bet as he is new to the game

He's in this new short comic that was released a few days ago:

http://social.biowar...3/index/8340087

I'm not entirely convinced he's an s/s option. Then again, I could be surprised.

Edit: fixing BBcode

If I'm not mistaken, there is also a new female character called Vigilante. I like to think that she and Vega will be the S/S options, together maybe with the VS. I've aways wanted Vega as S/S option though, so maybe that's just wishful thinking :?

well really it has to be vega or the vs just because they are on the ship if all the new me2 squadmates are not on the ship as it looks right now it will be hard to start a new romance with one of them hell

I am worried they wil be take a total back seat in me3 when it comes to your li so starting a new ss romance with one I do not see it so it just leaves vega and the vs or if the Vigilante Character is confirmed or bioware take the easy option for female ss and just have kelly

^ There'll be more new characters. Also romances don't necessarily have to be squadmates.

I hope Vega is one of our BI. Kaidan is really BI, I am sure. I can feel it © Anders.

Do you think that they should have an option to enable/disable same sex relationships before playing the game? They let you skip the controversial subjects in Modern Warfare 2, could it be possible for ME3 to do the same?

I don't want to be tempted for my manshep to get jiggy with ol' brittle bones.

Only if they let me enable/disable heterosexual relationships (and the Asari) before playing the game.

When you're playing a Paragon character, are you offended by the inclusion of Renegade dialogue choices on the wheel?  If you can completely ignore the option of those dialogues, does it effect you in any way?

So you're equating homosexual relationships to No Russian? Do we even have a word for how incredibly idiotic that is?

Apologies. Looking how it read, it does look offensive. I was only joking, but maybe I should've realised that people don't share my sense of humour.

I can appreciate subtle humor, but unfortunately, people who aren't joking are saying the exact same thing, so it's rather hard to discern.

I am a girl who is bi and if bioware does that then I am done with them not that they will plus you can just imagine the crap storm that would open up

I really dont get the whole fuss about it I mean you dont have to play that storyline and I bet most of the guys who are moaning will be playing the fem shep ss romance

I am really stuck up with the idea that BW will make the "as long as you dont interact with the characters in a certain way, they won't bite"..and it's a really good idea even if BW decides to make them all bi. However here I see the problem of costing more dialog options, because it would be stupid for the player to have only two options/to trigger or not the romance, which means that even if you interact with the character,no matter what,he/she will "come out of the closet" eventually / Simply there has to be more dialog options in this direction,if they want to go all DA2.

Also it would be very STUPID to have an option to enable/disable the s/s romances. If there's such an option in life lol be my guest, but I think it would be more interesting for a player to be more close to "real life situations",rather than simply "turn off the button"...

@ladyofpayne

I agree, I would like both Vega and Kaidan to be S/S for MShep. In addition to his comment regarding limbs (which isaacshep will no doubt talk to you about if you wish to mention it to him) but also in Noveria Kaidan says " I like the decor here, expensive but tasteful". I'm sorry - straight men don't say things like that. ;)

Also if asari are mono-gendered, why does liara refer to matriarch Benezia as her mother and talk about asaris having daughters instead of children? Anyway, if we can't count Liara (and we should) I would like to see Ashley and vigilante as the S/S interest. Thank you.

You might want to put a gigantic flashing 'JOKE' sign next time :P

As Xilizhra said, quite a few people (well meaning and otherwise) have suggested that. Sometimes it's been a misguided attempt at 'solving' the problem (who says it  needs to be solved?) and people just miss what the negative implications of having a filter actually are. Brokering peace by filtering optional content seems like an odd thing.

But more often it's suggested - almost desperately - by a not-insignificantly large group of people who just can't deal with possible same-sex relationships in their video game. Having realised that it's actually going to be in there, they suggest a filter to "escape teh gheys", so to speak. This isn't well-meaning or 'light offensive with good intentions' - it's purely for their own benefit and purely because they can't stand to deal with something, even when it's optional.

I dont think you will have them come out of hte closet if you dont want them as romance options just I think I read that bioware were changing the way you talk with squadmates so its not like me2 where you could not help but get to the point where they hit on you

Even if you dont want them as romance options, you will probably talk with them. And as you've seen in ME2 there isn't the option of friendship exactly...it's like"If you want to get to know me,you simply have to date me.." And that's what I am saying, even if the characters hit on you first in ME3,there has to be an option not only to turn down the romance, but also to maintain friendship of some kind.

I'm a straight person and would be offended by a gay toggle. Might as well ask for a gender toggle (no females in game!) or a skin color toggle. Offended by those yellow skin guys? Toggle it out!

Yeah no thank you.

How about Khalisah Bint Sinan al-Jilani[/b]?

That would make for an... interesting relationship.  Especially after socking her throughout two games.
