I want them to comment on relationships just for the potential jokes. Kind of like Mordin's "Trust me I'm a doctor" spin except everyone is obviously not a doctor and has their own angles.

I liked DA2's comments, because they tied into the characterisation of the companions and Hawke's family. Gamlen was snarky about all the LIs, Varric hid his genuine concern and respect for Hawke behind jokes, even Hawke's mother had a comment. It made them grow as characters while giving us a sense that the Hawke-LI relationship extended outside of the few minutes of romance dialogue and cutscenes, that they were going around Kirkwall together and people had noticed.

If Shepard's closely involved with someone to the point that it's a strong and obvious relationship, I think people on the Normandy would a) notice and have some opinions about it, if only to wish them well. 

Or if we have to choose between saving a LI and saving another squadmate, I'd imagine the others would want to know why Shepard chose who s/he did - the post-Virmire conversation with the VS comes to mind.

What messir Pinecone said. I want some acknowledgement from the rest of the game that I am in a relationship. It makes it seem more alive and dynamic when others respond to you like that.

One of my absolute favorite things about Dragon Age II is how the characters actually acknowledged Hawke's relationship. It was awesome.

Hopefully they'll do it like that . Does anyone know if Shepard's mother will make an appearance (or anything close to it) in ME3? It'd be nice if she was like 'Hey, I heard you're dating this Vega guy.' or something. And even if that doesn't happen, I still think that she should make an appearance and isn't forgotten for Spacers in ME3. I think it'd be very cool.

nothing is confirmed but you would think as we are heading to earth the reds will be there so we will hear from them so I would think its a safe bet she will be in the game to some extent I would love to met her in game as was said about squadmates saying what they think about are li like in DA2 I would like to see her take

Hm...I dunno. To me that doesn't really fit the professional aura of my Shepard. As long as we have a "keep it professional." dialogue choice I'll be good though.

I do not think they will spend too much time developing Hannah Shepard since she will only exist in the spacer storyline but I would hope that if we do see her that her model is based on Shepard. My Asian spacer would have an Asian mother and my Black Shepard would have a Black mother, etc. One thing that really would be cool is if you are a renegade or a paragon Shepard Hannah would fit that role herself to establish that Shepard is a chip off the old block.

Acutally you do get a little tiny bit of feedback on a VS romance from Joker after Horizon, which I always enjoy because it's about the only time in the game apart from triangle fights or the two loyalty fights when one character acknowledges the existence of another who isn't present. (Really, one of few times when a character acknowledges another even when the other is present.) I'm pretty sure this is also why people like Kasumi and Zaeed so much, despite their lack of dialog wheel. They actually seem aware of other events and people on the ship, it's crazy.

So, yeah, more of that would be great, whether it's about romance or otherwise.

i have a Question for those with Lesbian sheps that had "flings" with Kelly. You all think the Kelly romance will impact ME3? if so, do you hope to have an option to end things with her?

Just wondering because my lesbian shepard; Amara; planned to romance kelly for the duration of ME2 then deal with Liara in Lair (stupid Liara ninjamance) and hope the Ashley is availible for ME3 s/s romance.

If Kelly counts as a romance in ME3, I'm sure you'll be able to choose to either stay or break up with her. But since she can die so easily...nah, I'm sure she'll have a role in me3.

Since Kelly's romance was never really acknowledged by Liara in LotSB (she gets testy if you cheated with anyone else and she managed to find out about it even BEFORE having the SB resources -- Cerberus security truly sucks), I assume that you will be given the opportunity to tell Kelly she was just a fling or that you want to be serious.

If he survives, I imagine Anderson would be a good candidate, maybe with Chakwas. Otherwise I could see Chakwas with either Anderson or Zaeed. Why bother to toss in Kelly's scene if they don't want to get the opinion on her become a future LI? I think they did it to see what people would say but I also think they should just have her start out as your LI if you didn't romance anyone else and if you did and somehow got her (if that's even possible) then she'll at an appropriate moment ask you if you want to be serious with her or not. Kelly seems like she wouldn't care either way.

But beyond her and Liara I don't think any past LI should be turned into s/s options. It seems likely they'll do brand new characters like Vega and if he turned up s/s no one would care because he's new.

While I seriously doubt that ALL of the former LIs will now be s/s options, I would be very surprised if none of them are available. The VA for Kaidan all but absolutely confirmed that he was to voice lines for a s/s romance, so there's a good possibility that Ashley will too. I very much doubt that ANY former LIs will overtly seek a s/s relationship with Shepard so they will probably remain "straight" in your games and won't ruin your immersion provided you don't freak out if a "flirt" option is given for the player to initiate a gay romance.

Anderson's got a thing going with that chick from the novels. Kahlee Sanders? I may have spelled that wrong.

I think about half the fandom has been wildly shipping Chakwas/Zaeed since "Price of Revenge" first dropped, though, so you may be on to something there. Though in the spirit of the thread, I'd rather see, idk, Kaidan/Thane or something.

And don't lie, dude, you know this krogan female thing is a smokescreen so you can say sexy things to Wrex yourself.
