It's an interesting point. I used to be an f/f Jack supporter until I got run out of her fan thread for wanting to turn her into a 'stereotype'. I was so cross I never went back.
External influences can certainly alter your perceptions.
I couldn't help but laugh at this ... I got the same thing.

But then I realized that we all have our own ME world and their Jack is not mine. My Jack is a bi girl even if the option is never open to female Shepard. It wouldn't matter, because my femShep would never cross that line with Jack.
None of my Shepards (male or female) would ever be with Jack because the Jack in my world is not needing a lover but a friend. sex muddies the water and with her you need to keep the water clean. To keep your relationship pure ... It confuses her with my Shepards that they don't make a play on her but it also takes some of the pressure off her.
But that is in my world and is not intended as a force on others.
