Here in America, some native nations actually suffered a 90 percent mortality rate when exposed to various European, Asian, and African diseases. The viruses acted the way the were supposed to, and would probably have faired better had they had the same history with those diseases.

How an alien virus would react to our system is a mystery since it evolved to deal with a different biolgy. The human body may not only be vulnerable, but may not even be able to recognize that it under attack by an organism, and the most likely reaction would be an alergic reaction, possibly even severe or fatal.

That's how I understood a NASA doctor's explanation, anyway. If I am wrong, or explaning it in too simplistic terms, feel free to correct me.

Just for the record, I NEVER requested a cute Joker and Doctor picture! He blatantly misrepresented my casual comments and will PAY accordingly.

As for me, the other Abispa, I always romance the men in games when they're an option. No matter what gender my hero is. My Latino Shepard has be so lonely. I hope Joker will be available so I can show someone what he'd look like making out with him.

Don't mess with "West Side Story"! One of my all time favorites! If only the stupid street punks in my neighborhood would fight like them.

I see such heavy representation of red-heads in DA and ME portraits and fan art. Even the dummy I let use my computer has a red-head character. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but does anyone else make non-white Shepards? I know ME LIs prefer Koreans (especially Garrus)...

Driving the Mako is easy. Traveling the worlds with the Mako is hard. Climbing a mountain with the Mako is IMPOSSIBLE.

Well, of my current three central Shepards, one is a red-head. The other two are as close as I could manage to Asian and (honestly) to myself.

I've never made a red-head Shepard. I guess cuz I'm attracted to women with darker hair, but then again I don't really spend much time thinking about how my Shepard should look.

I try, but I can't make myself. My BF does a better job with the creator. I let him make my Shepards, wardens and Hawkes for me. I wish I could be a tall and impressive looking as Korean female Shepard. And that voice.

Bummer.

I confess that my female Shepards will not be going for the girls. My male Shepards will be on the prowl for the boys though. He is SO frustrated after two games alone.

I do. Witness the glory that is my Vanguard, Devon Shepard. The only thing white about him is his hotness.  He's not my gay Shepard though, that's my Sentinel Martín Shepard, who I designed to look Latino-ish. I don't have a picture of him, but he's a cutie pie too. Even my "white" male Shepard (my Infiltrator) isn't all that white, the very pale skintones just don't look good in-game to me. *shrugs*

I know! I have learned from experience that the character usually turns out lighter in the game that I want him to be. Drives me nuts. The only good looking pale characters I see are some of the goth girls I see in some profile pictures, rarely.

I just remembered. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Hawke's family was the same race as the made Hawke. I hope that means good things when we finally see Shepard's mom in ME3.
