More like deliberate choice that comes from the same problem many heterosexuals & homosexuals have with bisexual people in real life.Cootie wrote...
The whole "sexuality switch" depending on playthroughs, well, I like to think that that was just a white lie I used to calm the anti-s/s crowd when they ranted.

Hmm, what if the s/s option in ME3 isn't who you want it to be, or somesuch, would your Shepards still go for it?

Kaidan's of course My ManShep's #1 choice, but he'll be happy with Vega, or Jacob, or Thane tooCootie wrote...

Plus, we know there'll be new characters. Not necessarily Vega. Much more to find out yet.

My Shepard has Liara and I will hold off making a second Shepard until I see who's available. If I'm not interested (and I'm only thus far interested in Miranda), I won't make this Shepard.

I just saw a FemHawke-Merrill romance courtesy of YouTube. I must say that it is a bit Tali-esque. Very nice![smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/cool.png[/smilie]
I do recommend that romance if you ever play DA2. It's the only one I ever pick. I haven't seen the Talimance in awhile, but I like the Merrill one more b/c she has her own personal quest and the romance ties into it (the same can be said of any DA2 romance, actually).
This all goes back to my desire that the ME romances would be more than just a couple of conversations on the Normandy that have no bearing on anything else.

Doubt there'll be more than 1 entirely brand new LI, so Vega it is IMO. And I can't complainElitePinecone wrote...

As far as male LIs go I haven't yet met a character I would like to create a Shepard for, femShep or otherwise. I'm keeping an open mind for any characters introduced in ME3. *edit* But even so the chances of him getting a femShep are far higher than him getting a dudeShep. There would have to be something about the pair which made me think they went well together as m/m instead of f/m for me to look at it, just as I feel that Shep/Liara is more interesting to me as f/f.

I'd try it at least once. The worst case scenario for male SS LI's in ME3 for me would be if Garrus were the only one available. I like Garrus a lot, but not in that way.
I want a human to be available. Of the human male squadmates revealed so far, I hope we get more than Kaidan as an SS LI. I'm fine with him as a character and all, but he's not my first pick.

Depends on who the option is. I want Vega, but I'd be okay if it was another cool new character or Kaidan.
But if it's Jacob...

Personally? I doubt it. If there isn't a character I like 'on offer', so to speak, then I can't see why I'd start a romance with one I wasn't particularly fond of for the sake of it. I could've had my Shepards hook up with Liara otherwise.Cootie wrote...

Sure. I did not like Zevran at the start but that changed during my first playthrough of DA:O.Cootie wrote...

So any character of ME3 will get the benefit of doubt.

My male LIs, in order of preference, are Kaidan, James, Joker, a new character as long as he is as delicious as Kenneth, and Jacob.

I guess I technically am a s/s player since my ruthless spacer Shepard has a thing going with Liara (I started it off as a joke but was amazed how well Liara fits with a ruthless witch, especially after LotSB). Since I'm an Ashley fan, I guess I may try a s/s option if it becomes available, but I'm currently happy with my o/s romance with her.
Whether or not I romance anyone else, o/s or s/s, depends on the character. So, no, I will not do a s/s romance just because, though I don't rule out trying it. I am guaranteed to see all the m/m romances, however, since my GF is sure to try EVERY non-f/f romance.
*Sniffle* Krogan romance has been ruled out already, so I guess I will NEVER be truly happy with ME3. I feel betrayed. EA/Bioware don't care about the fans. Bastards.

And we haven't seen her in a while. Which is a shame.

I don't know, I think there'll be more. I don't even think Vega will be a m/m LI, but we'll have to wait and see.

:crying:
If there IS only one NEW m/m LI (I believe Kaidan WILL be "bi") introduced in ME3, I'm guessing that it will be Joker. I would not be surprised if he is m/m exclusive, but that's just a gut feeling.
So enjoy. Me? I'll be here crying over my statues of Wrex, Grunt and Wreav.

You keep talking that way and I might actually have to get DA2. Do I have to get DA:O as well so I can carry over saves as well and stuff?
Yes. I also liked the little conversation they had afterwards and Hawke suggests that she scandalize the neighbors by telling them that she's shacking up w/ and elf. I though to myself. Wouldn't it infinitely more scandalize the neighbors to know that FemHawke is in a romantic relationship w/ another woman? I don't know how the DA world works.
Also that scene got me thinking about something that would be nice to add in ME3 and that is post-coital conversation scene. BW, post-coital convos in ME3. I demand it.
