I will spoil it now!

EVERYBODY WILL BE "BI" IN MASS EFFECT 3!!

That is because I plan to hold the Bioware staff hostage and force them to listen to Abispa reading Vogon poetry until they give in to my demands!

Why me? I think a certain high pitched Brooklyn accent would really put it over the top.

I remember a tweet saying revealing this would be a huge spoiler so we get nothing. I think they didn't say anything about LIs before ME2 either.

I remember seeing vids of Sheploo hooking up with Miranda and Jack.  Plus, Hudson confirmed that Thane/Jacob were LIs for female Shepard in a QnA session.

pwnd.:crying:

@ Abispa -- Whatever.

A VA I would love to "hear" in ME3 would be Samuel Jackson as an agressive Zevran style bisexual LI.

Yeah, what Isaac said. WHOA HUGE SPOILER CHUD, just knowing someone could be into Shep will totally ruin that character's story. -.-

They're waiting for more people to pre-order and then at the eleventh hour they will make the announcement.

Yes I know this tweet, I was joking how revealing Vega is a bi LI wouldn't be any kind of a spoiler since everyone thinks he will be anyway

They've only revealed two pieces of information concerning LIs, and I'm so offended about one of them that I may never order another Bioware game again. I am filled with enough rage to fill a thread with thousands of posts protesting EAs short-sightedness and complete failure to cater to the buying public's demands for role-playing excellence. And just to show I'm serious, I'm going to totally forget about spelling, grammar and punctuation and find new clever ways to type expletives to get around the censors.

The only two things that they've confirmed is that there will be s/s romances (not sure if the Asari count, though), and that there will be no Krogan love. I'm fine with one decision, but have been trapped in a prolonged melancholy over the other.

I wasn't talking about sleeping.

Note: Someone ealier mentioned that s/he was disappointed that Shepard was stuck with Grunt instead of Okeer. The more I think about it, the more that I agree with that sentiment. And it is plain as day that he is TOTALLY pansexual.

Okeer would have been so much better than Grunt. Could you imagine him an Mordin getting into it. Just taking Okeer on Mordin's loyalty mission should have been awesome. Instead we get a newbie with bloodrage. Oh well.

The hilarious part would have been the conflict. Okeer LIKES the genophage, while Mordin is haunted by it.

I know. Mordin would his semi-religious prayer thing and Okeer laughs at his weakness completely ruining Mordin's moment. Of course they would probably both try and kill Maelon in the end so you would probably interrupt Mordin just for Okeer to shoot him.

@Dhiro: Abispa wants him some krogan loving. It's up to you how seriously you take his wrath at his denial, however.

As for the appeal, think about it Isaac - a krogan is the ultimate bear. Huge, deep-voiced, rough-and-tumble, deliberately unconcerned with their ugliness, rugged wilderness-livin' manly men. Their whole culture is archetypal masculinity writ large, just as asari (graceful, diplomatic, nurturing, yet conniving and hypersexual, with an emphasis on a pleasing appearance) are archetypal femininity writ large. We can romance asari (even against our intent or will, on not infrequent occasions). Allowing us to romance krogan would only be fair.

(Actually, as much as I'm joking, I'm also not. It definitely says something that the krogan are the one thing they draw the line at letting us romance and the asari were the one thing they made universally available from the very start).

Apart from the geth, those are all "joke races." We won't have them as party members, and we're not meant to take them seriously. Krogan are lore-relevant, party members, and major players in the wider plot.

Legion is an interesting point, but I don't know of a dev ever taking the odd call of "I wanna romance geth" seriously enough to be like "lolNO." the way they have krogan.

A little off-topic, but the hanar, volus and elcor had far more lore in the first game, and even added a nice layer to the interstellar politics of the ME universe. Volus were intergalactic bankers angry at humanity for their rapid diplomatic rise, elcor had some interesting lore (and I'd love to see them as mobile weapons platforms) and the hanar's religious devotion added some nice spice to the Citadel.

I'm not sure what happened (possibly a shift in the writing priorities), but from ME2 onwards all we seem to get are caricatures or tiny bit-part appearances. It's probably fair to call them minor races, story-wise, which is a shame.

One of my favourite moments in the whole series is Shepard (possibly) challenging Avina's use of 'lesser races' when she explains the military and economic responsibilities of Council membership, which would be a burden for those not able to provide them.

Re: Okeer and Grunt. I thought Okeer was a dangerous madman (but then Grunt is never exactly stable, either) - I thought the 'coming of age' story was too overdone (although I *adored* his dossier for LotSB), and it felt like both of them lacked the sense or intelligence of Wrex.

Krogan for LIs? Sure, if people want them. Not my thing, but all power to you.

Probably because most of the calls to romance geth really are jokes? I dunno.

Am I the only one who makes a distinction between melding for information and melding for sex? Surely there is more than one "setting" since we know that one of the traits of the Ardat-Yakshi is the inability to control it. After all, there's a difference between kissing someone's hand and kissing their lips and between sticking your tongue down their throat and  sticking your tongue... elsewhere.

I can totally get behind you being upset at getting ninjasexed by Sha'ira when you renegaded her gift. I just don't agree that the melds with Shiala and Liara were sexual in any way.

I wonder what line that is though, extra testicles? Turians are just as alien as krogans tome, maybe more so. What do turians even.. um do exactly? Fyi Wrex over garrus anyday for meB).

Thirded, I think he would be a lot more interesting, I kept getting the feeling Grunt was trying to hard to be Wrex and didn't like him all that much, which is of cource completely unfair to in-game Grunt. Not to mention the whole perfect krogan bs and even his name is quite boring. Having said that he's alot more tolerable when he's a squadmate. I also would have accepted 'polite krogan messenger'.

I have no real interest in Krogan LIs at all since the closest to sexy with them is Wrex and Wrex is not my thing. But I cannot get enough Garrus.

The great thing about Krogan LIs in ME3 would be that if Bioware did that we would know that there are no limits this time especially if they were s/s options.

Even if we cannot romance them it would be cool to hit on them especially if another party member overheard and we could get their reactions. Kelly would probably be so proud of Shepard that she would burst into tears.

ZAEED: Did I ever tell you about that time I had sex with a full grown Krogan male? Only I survived. Damn shame.
