Very likely; the question is, is the group sex mostly with men or women?

She isn't concerned with gender but skill...she only settles for the best.

That sounds like a cross between Kelly and Miranda.

Ah, yes, sex on the engine room floor. Who got to clean up the wet spot? I mean, Tali could get sick...

Don't forget about Ken and Gabby, I'm sure they'd have something to say about it.

There should have been a female romance option for Jack dammit.

...that is all I have to say.

It's admirable the writers made her heterosexual imo. And she is strictly hetero, based on what she says in ME2.

Dunno about you, but my strictly hetero friends don't have sex with members of the same sex and answer "you mean a boyfriend or a girlfriend?" when I ask them if they have anyone

Oh, it's just slim again, don't bother. Didn't we just have the Jack argument a few weeks ago anyway?

Also I'd like to object to the idea that Liara "inevitably appeals to lesbians." Liara pissed this lesbian off waaaaay, way more than no gay option at all ever could have. As of LotSB I've come around to her quite a bit, but that doesn't begin to negate the Bisexual Blue Space Babe fail of ME1. Just saying.

As for the All Bi solution, I wonder if future ME games will be more likely to use that option. I know it's quite likely for future DA games, but ME really is geared a bit more toward the dudebro crowd and they've been noticably more conservative with it. Then again, I think it would be hard to look at ME2 and think the romances there were an unqualified success, particularly compared to ME1 or DA2's, and the All Bi solution is the simplest and most obvious to that issue of developer work vs player choice.

I also lack hetero friends who refer to a lesbian relationship as a "girls club".

Yeah, I'm sure when Jack mentioned the girls club she meant women who liked screwing guys.

Do a google image search for "girls club". You do not see any lesbianism there. It's all girl bffs.

I don't think that the "girl's club" comment was a reference to lesbianism. However, from what it looks like currently, Jack won't be a romance option for FemShep in ME3 anyway, so it doesn't really matter.

not where I live no.

Saying "I don't bat for that team/swing that way." is talking about lesbianism/gay/whatever depending on who's talking to who.

Maybe the girl club line means that in canada I dunno. I can only speak for where I live.

There's no canon Shepard. If there was, he would be a heterosexual male in comics, novels etc.

Well I'm glad you can admit that much at least.

The only reason he will be male in the movie is that it's safer option from the marketing POV.

Um no...  Action movies with strong male leads consistently earn the most revenue out of all the movies that come out of Hollywood.

Also, the plot of the story (ie Shepard being the first human Spectre) is more conducive to a male protagonist.

But that's also changing in Hollywood. Angelina Jolie took a role in an action flick written for Tom Cruise and they changed the gender specifically because she has a big box office power.

And what movie was this pray tell?  I'm sure it flopped either way, because Angelina Jolie's movies don't tend to be very successful in the box office.

Nice try, better luck next time. It makes absolutely no sense male Shep is heterosexual but FemSHep can be a lesbian, bisexual or heterosexual. No, if the orientation of Commander Shepard is irrelevant to the story, then it applies in all cases (male & female Commander Shepard) and Muzyka's statement remains stupid.

It makes sense if you acknowledge the fact that Shepard was written from the inception to be a heterosexual male.  All other incarnations stem from delusion and people wanting to impose their own character on to Shepard.....which Bioware allows them to do to be sure.

Yup still seeing it as a "I don't want to get overly close." thing.
