do the Shepard Shuffle

To go on a tangent here, I literally had no idea there was a name for Shepard's little dance. But for some reason I find Shepard Shuffle ridiculously hilarious (also very catchy). Next time I go to a party, damn straight I'mma be doin' the Shepard Shuffle.

*Sniffle* My Shepard, doing the Shepard Shuffle on the corpse of a Reaper... and Wrex is dancing with him...

Sorry, I got a bit misty and emotional there.

Does the renegade sex option come up with Jack? If not, it seems odd that Jack, who is still in her REALLY impulsive stage early in the game, wouldn't do female Shepard as she's admitted to have done with other female users in the past.

No.

I sometimes get the impression playing ME2 that there were several female s/s relationships planned but had to be shot down at the last minute for some reason. Tali's identical behavior to both Shepards and her SB files, Samara telling female Shepard that her code doesn't forbid relationship after she thanks her for expressing an interest during their first talk, and Jack's cryptic "girls club" comment.

I get the same feeling...especially with Jack.

My convoluted conspiracy theory is that the someone at Bioware called the ME staff out on hypocrisy for possibly creating three new lesbian relationships with no equivalent gay/bi male options. I have the feeling, ESPECIALLY with ME2, that the franchise tries to be totally dudebro by trying to turn male Shepard into James Bond (complete with Miranda cat suit and ass-cam) and having the ultimate macho female, Shepard, get some HAWT lesbian action.

I don't think that's the reason.  If it was, they wouldn't have added in three straight options for FemShep and shoved Jacob down her throat (yes, yes, laugh it up!).

They wanted ME3 to be PG-13, remember?  I think the devs probably wanted to add in s/s content but some higher up said 'no' and they had to abandon what they had been working on but they forgot to fix some things.

Someone found cut-dialog for MaleShep/Thane as well...I'm not sure that means much though.

Started writing a long-ass post but decided to stick to what I said earlier. I'm just happy they came to their senses before the (Shepard's) franchise ended. Sure I wish it happened sooner, and I have no doubts it wasn't just a time/memory/resources issue (especially after ME1 and with ME2 having enough time to create 7 different romances) but it's better this late than never. Wouldn't demand any extra apology either. The best compensation will be good (and in good amount which means at least 2-3) m/m romances in ME3. If the content's good, we can put the past to the rest. Not like we or BioWare can change it at this point. And I'm sure they know themselves their past mistakes on lack of m/m romances and their PR about it anyway

Sorry if I derail any discussions here for a moment, but I just want to say congratulations on those s/s love interests! I know I'm terribly late in saying that, I rarely visit BSN, but I truely am glad the options are now there. It took a while, but hopefully what Bioware is doing, in both Mass Effect and Dragon Age, paints a new path for equality. <3

@ Dirgegun -- Don't worry, we get derailed a lot on this thread. I think Bioware gives us some room to maneuver since this is apparently the only thread that can discuss s/s without getting closed down. Just so you know, Bioware has told us NOT to argue about whether or not there SHOULD be s/s in the game since it WILL happen and that isn't up for debate. So if you see someone posting a "Keep Shepard straight!" comment, or "No gays in space!" just ignore them. Apparently Bioware considers it trolling if we call others "trolls" or "homophobes."

I've learned from many an internet forum that trolling means "whatever the hell I want it to mean so I can close this thread down" and that it has nothing to do with the meaning that evolved from, like a fishing term.

In Skyrim, everyone you can marry is 'bisexual' or both genders can marry them.  That's like, 30 NPCs or something.

Yeah all bisexuals ruined Skyrim.

...didn't it?

Oh wait no people just didn't care, ignored the content if they weren't using it and kept having a blast playing the game. That's what happened.

/pops in again, oh hai

Just want to say Fable was rollin' bi before then too, but I think what Bioware is doing is putting down a much stronger foundation for equality in games because it's giving the gay/lesbian/bisexual characters stories and the like. We're not talking NPCs with no real personalities that are difficult to connect with. Bioware makes characters that we all want to get to know.

In fact, I think there are even more if you use the console to add them to the marryable faction. Almost any npc with a name.

Really?  The dialog is even there and everything?  Interesting.

That's nothing special since the marry me dialogue is generic.

I've only done it once but that makes sense.

But the voice work wouldn't be there for those lines.

So, this "Skyrim" game that everyone keeps talking about, are the LIs "bisexual" or "hero-sexual"? Is there any indication that s/he would be interested in the same gender if it wasn't the hero hitting on him/her?

Everyone's Dragon born sexual.

...even if he/she is an Orc. XD
