I was actually saying the opposite: Edward-Twilight type of guys aren't very attractive in reality - or if your like me - in their world either. No one gets laid by brooding. I'm just saying that Edward type doesn't work in this kind of game - you can get away with it in the fantasy genre but not in a sci-fi shooter with RPG elements.

All you have to remember is they are elves, one talks funny and the other pulls the skin tight yaoi emo card. I hate it it too its annoying and slightly disturbing.

2 out of 4 of the male LIs were pretty boys. Sky looked young sure but I wouldn't call him pretty. He was pretty average looking. And Anders...yeah he's a bit more haggard looking than Sky.

I find it a bit creepy too, the emo elf thing does seem to be a Bioware favourite but alot of guys (or gals!) don't find it attractive at all. Time for a change me thinks!

I( was talking Dragon Age. I don't think SKy appeared in that one. And I came to the conclusion Sky is a time-wormwhole error, from BioWare's future. Post-Sky, we had ME1 with no a single trace of male homosexuality, then with had DAO with only 1 m/m LI which just happened to be a pretty elf, then we ME2 with still no sing of male homosexuality anywhere in the Milky Way + bonus nonsense PR quotes from BioWare, then we had SWTOR and "no gays in Star Wars" which wasn't changed till people raged (and of course it got change to post-launch which means they never really planned it at first), then we had DA2 with another elf twink but yes, finally a manly m/m LI as well (Anders) and finally now we have ME3. So yeah, Sky seems like an odd exception from BioWare's otherwise consistient progressions from "gay guys don't exist", to "ok, but only with elfs" to "fine, manly gay guys also allowed".

To be fair Fenris looks worse than Zevran in that regard plus elves have no facial hair period so blame their biology instead. 

I still think its funny that Zevran is the best same sex male love interest in the DA series. Anders had promise but he just felt rather creepy when in the romance lol.

The f/f relationship is one thing.

The f/f LI though? I have no problem with it because 99.999999999% of the time the f/f LI is a m/f Li so she kind of has to appeal to men.

The LIs aren't just for one group. (unless of course it's an exclusive LI)

And yes two of the males in Dragon Age are pretty boys. That's half of the m/m LIs BW has had to date. That's not some overwhelming scenario. And I wouldn't call either of them "twinks" (i find that word irritating as all hell). They're pretty sure but they act like you know men.

I haven't romanced Zev for any character or gender, but I'd honest say he probably wasn't the best option, considering he's a very ****ty character. And him being the only option probably wasn't considered cool, for those that were looking for a man, and not female.

Right then. It's 2 out of three in that scenario and all of those LIs are being shared with m/f romancers. I'm not seeing some conspiracy there.

The whole twink thing strikes me as very superifical. I'd say Fenris was far more masculine in personality than Anders and Alistair.

@TMA: Frankly I thought Zev sucked but it had nothing to do with his looks and everything to do with (what I found) to be a sh** personality.

Nah I disagree mostly because in comparison to Fenris or Anders he hasn't gotten more annoying after every playthrough. He wasn't really something great but I felt about the same for him as I did in my first playthrough which wasn't bad.
