Agreed. Anders (without Justice) was never as I guess masculine as Fenris. Of course someone could say we are mistaking masculine with Brooding and looking like he will tear someone's heart out most of the time.

Maybe because the devs wrote their relationship paths and personalities a certain way and went with that.

Nah even without the brooding Fenris isn't anything I'd consider feminine. He looks pretty but that's about where it ends.

To be fair Fenris looks worse than Zevran in that regard plus elves have no facial hair period so blame their biology instead. 

I still think its funny that Zevran is the best same sex male love interest in the DA series. Anders had promise but he just felt rather creepy when in the romance lol.

I haven't romanced Zev for any character or gender, but I'd honest say he probably wasn't the best option, considering he's a very ****ty character. And him being the only option probably wasn't considered cool.

Nah I disagree mostly because in comparison to Fenris or Anders he hasn't gotten more annoying after every playthrough. He wasn't really something great but I felt about the same for him as I did in my first playthrough which wasn't bad.

The word that was censored was how he's screws anything, and loves filling whatever gaps he could.

I'm sure some would've preferred someone with a less (starts with S and L ends with T and Y) lifestyle.

True but then again he never annoyed me as much as Anders and Fenris (mostly Anders/Justice) eventually did. Zevran has sex a lot which is heavily related to his line of work. Nah Anders just visited (probably so he could heal those STDs. ). Eh Zev bothered me a lot more than Anders. Then I find Zev's type a lot more irritating in RL so that played a part in it.

Isaac, you want Kaidan to be m/m, and I happen to agree with you, but he's not the most masculine guy out there. Fenris may have been an elf, but he was way more masculine than Anders. And besides, why even bring up DA2 when m/m and m/f are the same choices, except Sebastian who was the prettiest of all? I think you're seeing something that isn't there. And if the developers want to give us well-developed m/m romances with pretty boy characters, that's entirely their prerogative.

Honestly, as long as they turn out like Leliana, Liara, Isabela and Merrill, I don't care, who they are trying to cater to. There are some minor hiccups, though, but that could happen as well, if they tried to "directly cater" to us.
I've enjoyed all of those romances and Silk Fox, too.
The only thing I got mad about is, that I had to roll a male Shep for Ash, Miranda and Jack.

The problem is for designing a female same sex love interest that appeals to lesbians is that it is difficult (at least for me) to make that. It seems like it varies sometimes and some lesbians actually like many of the same things a Heterosexual male like in a woman.

Yeah, unless you're writing for a stereotype, a character is just a character. I don't think being homosexual makes you completely different from a heterosexual. There are differences, and should be, but a Lesbian and a Straight Man might have similar tastes for the type of woman they like, and don't like.

I was *hoping* for a pretty boy ME LI but there's none to be found. (I can't even make my damn Shep a pretty boy T_T )  D: So I'll just have to go with the next best thing.

Last time I tried making my shepard look a bit less like he is over 40 and rather young I spend like over an hour on it. When I finally played the game his nose looked weird so ended up starting over. Seriously I have less trouble in the Dragon Age character creator.

At least it isn't as bad as Bethesda games.

I totally agree with you. Also, I do not understand how people like Isaac can speak about romances and characters of a game they have never played.
As a gay man, I was very happy when I noticed that Zevran was flirting with me. I enjoyed the relationship between him and the Grey Warden and I was grateful that Bioware gave me this opportunity. That's it.

And if the developers want to give us well-developed m/m romances with pretty boy characters, that's entirely their prerogative.

DA CC is like 9000x better than ME's for making any kind of good looking character much less pretty boys.

TBH, I don't share tastes in women with straight guys, mostly, and I'd appreciate a female character written without appealing to dudes being the first and sometimes only priority.  I'm not asking for stereotypes, but when designing the characters, I'd like romances to be the last thing on the list.  If that character then is able to romanced by my female player character, AND she is to my liking, all the better.

But that's why I support more choices.  More choices can make everyone happy!  Theoretically.

I actually like Zevran the best out of the m/m romances so far. He had a hard life but he had a sense of humor and wasn't all ANGST ANGST BROOD BROOD about it like Anders and Fenris.

edit: Judging by the leaked script Kaidan also seems to be super-angsty through most of the game (way more than Ash).  If he is a m/m option, I think I'll pass.
