Merrill does comment that the Qunari are "Easy on the eye". And arguably flirts with Carver

I'm not sure flirting is something Merrill's really got figured out.

Personally, I don't understand the flirting here but...

From Mark of the Assasin:

"At least it's a nice hallway. Very solid. Not at all likely to collapse."

"Right...well, back to rescuing...wait. You're doing that on purpose!"

Though Steve teases Vega about liking bears or something (which is a gay slang term for burly men), so there's hope yet.

He could actually be talking about the animal itself because (like Vega) they're large, loud, and destructive.

...nah. Since the line immediatley following (by I guess Vega) is:

"What's so funny?"

I can't remember; who tweeted immediatly following Casey's announcement of m/m love interests that 30 years ago it would have been controversal about the interacial relationships?

Well, no, actually the context is this (highlight for spoilers):

James: I've always loved the M-35 Mako. It's got heart, y'know?
Steve: Oh, come on. The M-44 Hammerhead is a vastly superior.
James: (snort of derrision) C'mon, that thing is made of tissue paper. At least the Mako can take a few hits.
Steve: I'd hope so! That thing handles like a drunk rhino. No agility whatsoever!
James: More like a bull... that can climb and climb for days.
Steve:
It only climbs because of its stupid, vertically aligned mass effect
fields. Jump or stick, no speed, no lateral movement...
James:With a cannon like that, who needs to move?
Steve: If you want that, why don't you just stick with the old M-29 Grizzly?
James: Hey, I love that tank.
Steve: Ha, you would be one to love grizzly bears, Mr. Vega.

Which tells us more about Steve than it does about Vega, but hey, who knows.

Well, in the case of Joker and DA:A's Anders, it is likely that a bisexual male may be more likely to flirtatious toward women than men. Even if their societies are more open minded and not hostile toward s/s relationships, it's safe to say they're predominantly heterosexual. Males in both universes are depicted as being more sexually aggressive, for good or ill, and even lesbians will have been forced to learn ways to casually brush them off while males may not. Sadly, the ME universe has shown that relations within a species' gender requires the same amount of tolerance as relations between alien species.

That would depend entirely on who you ask.

Yes, it tells us he likes the Hammerhead more than the Mako.

That's pretty much a relationship deal-breaker, right there.

According to the leak she does have a

*swears* :( *cries* seriosuly Jack is so like me my favourite damn
character, I get told by people I remind them of her lol (in a good way
cos I stand up to people that do bad crap youtube.com/watch?v=H_zgl8ZB_84#t=1m30s )

In ME3 they are going to uncensor themselves and have same sex
relationships, right, but will they uncensor themselves on characters
they previously left it out of? It's pretty obvious they hid all the
same sex stuff in Mass Effect 2 for fear of the fox news puritans RE
Mass Effect 1, I hope they uncensor her cos it's damn obvious she is too
cool to be straight ,it seemed really forced the way she just suddenly
didn't want to talk to you anymore at all, not about anything, when you
are friends with her :(

Nope, Jack is still only available to male Shepards. None of the characters from Mass Effect 2 are available for new romances, including her. So if you couldn't romance them in 2, you won't be able to in 3. Also, incidentally, I'm gay and even I have a problem with the phrase "too cool to be straight."

Just wondering: isn't this the second or third time you've posted the same thing?

None of the ME2 options will be available for any romances - it might be frustrating, yeah, but that's the way Bioware are doing the game.

There will be some s/s options in ME3, though, and 'some' is almost always better than 'none'.

It's hard to tell, we don't have enough clear information yet. We probably won't know until ME3 comes out, or until Bioware says something.

He's definitely available for femShep to re-romance, and the dialogue is ambiguous enough in many scenes that he might be available for mShep as well. But unfortunately we can't tell for sure.

I meant more along the lines of him being a bit of a tease towards Vega. I'm not sure whether he's alluding to things because the writers made Vega bi, or if he's like that with any other male friend.
I hope that makes sense.

Ah, gotcha. I was mostly being flippant :P

Vega and Steve *do* have a fair bit of banter, but personally I wouldn't read that as an indication of Vega's romancability (and here I go just inventing words) by maleShep.

To my mind it's more a reflection of the apparent focus on banter and squad interaction (as opposed to ME2, where twelve separate squadmates sat in their own isolated bubbles until Shepard came to talk to them).

I mean, Vega could still definitely be bi and there are a bunch of potentially very obvious lines in there (the Lola/Loco thing, dancing, etc) - but the friendship and teasing with Steve looks more like run of the mill banter. They're old friends and have in-jokes - and Vega obviously knows about Cortez's personal life.

One of my favourite lines that I found was:

"And I hear Esteban got to play the hero with a damsel in distress."
"You know me and my damsels, Mr. Vega."
"That I do."

Upon gender-neutral dialogues that work just as well, if not even more, in m/m context as they do in new f/m romance context + Raphel Sbarge confirming himself there will be a romance between Kaidan & mShep

Just because Raphael recorded m/m lines doesn't mean they'll be in the game. I'm sure you've seen the deleted stuff from ME1.

I'm not taking any speculation as "confirmation" until it comes from Bioware, or the game is released. No sense getting my hopes up:blush:

To me, this part's the most obvious:

James: Gracias. Well, I think I better get back to the hangar. Things here are just a little too soft for me.
Shepard: The bed's a lot harder than it looks.
James: Are you flirting with me, Commander? Thanks again, Loco.
Shepard: Anytime.

:D

But aren't most romance lines in general of any romance gender neutral?
The Kaidan romance scene notes specifically mention female Shepard as well.

Raphel Sbarge confirming himself there will be a romance between Kaidan & mShep

Voicing lines isn't exactly confirmation. A lot of the time the voice actors themselves don't know the actual context of what they're voicing lines for, too. Quite possibly most of the time.

They also often have voice actors record lines that don't actually make it into the actual game - for the purpose of having it on hand if they do use it, or for simple convenience.

Awesome.
But being something of a pessimistic, I'll also consider that Vega might just be secure in his heterosexuality

No. Garrus' romance lines for example leave zero doubt it's only for FemShep.

In one scene in the test file. And cinematic note =/= dialogues.

You can judge it for yourself. Raphael said it was BioWare that told him about it.

Hmm. That is at least somewhat compelling.

If it's true, I can only hope that Kaidan hasn't strayed too far away from his ME1 personality.
