I'm just a little confused as to why everyone thinks its Cortez. When I watched the video, my first thought was: "YAY! Bailey's back! He was awesome in ME 2!". Then everyone started saying that it was Cortez: "Well he looks exactly like Bailey, and he has Bailey's hair style and facial features, but that's definitely Cortez and that's in the Normandy!"

Because there IS a blond guy in Alliance uniform standing in Normandy hangar, next to Vega's spot, where Cortez is supposed to be

Not necessarily that could easily be Cortez's hair glitching out again due to the lighting. It's obviously an unfinished build (thus Shep and Vega's zombie faces during the sparring match and Liara's face not looking the way it does in the offical facebook picture and the lighting being different as well).

So you can't really use one blurry low res screenshot (in dark lighting none the less) as 100% proof that Cortez is blond. Not to mention we don't even know for sure that's Cortez.

I seem to remember reading in Game Informer that Bioware intentionally uses the wrong character models in certain scenes so as not to create spoilers. That is why the article said not to get excited about any pictures showing Anderson or Aria doing cool stuff that looked out of place. Maybe it IS supposed to be Cortez, but they're using the Bailey model.

Why would Cortez be in the Citadel anyway? It makes more sense for that to be Bailey; he IS a big part of C-Sec after all.

I was lurking in here and saw the conversation so I went to take a second look and I have to agree I think it was due to lighting his hair turned blond.

The guy in the back could very possibly be Cortez as they stay in the same location on board the Normandy. Though as in the beta shot it might be the lighting in regards to his blond hair.

Hmm, how old do you guys think the footage is in the featurette?

Anyways I don't think I have met one good looking blond npc in Mass Effect. Maybe if Cortez does end up blond and he looks good I will change my perception on it but I still prefer him with brown hair for the time being.

If you compare that door in ME3 (seen in above post) to the ones on the Citadel in ME2 like this one...:

You can see the same "OTX" on the right side and the patterns on the doors are nearly identical with only a few differences.

So that's probably the Citadel unless Bioware got lazy and plastered the Citadel door texture in another, unrelated area.

And why would Cortez be on the Citadel? He's a shuttle pilot and I don't think you'd need him for a mission there. Bailey seems much more likely.

There's no accounting for taste I suppose.

Frankly I think the former one she has on way too much eyeshadow, and somehow can breathe in Mars atmopshere, and I prefer her expression in the last shot.
