You want a pro Bi thread fine. Other posters should be allowed to discuss this in another thread that allows contrary opinions.

Ohh just drop it already. At this point, nothing you OR we say will change who will be bi in ME3 or if anyone. Whatever decision BioWare made is final and won't change one way or another. The game's going gold in two weeks or so. It's done. Just wait till you find out what BioWare did, than start complaining again. Hopefully, you'll get over the bi thing permanently till then.

I see you must be bored and decided to return. I hope those who may be motivated to respond and engage you take the time to read at least a little of your history on this thread; that way they can see that this is a trap.

slimgrin you have been here and argued many times for extended periods of time. There was back and forth debate. Unfortunately they usually broke down on the nature of sexuality (not the point of this thread) and you or your opponent reducing it to personal attacks. I'm not saying you were always the one that got personal first, but it was apparent to anyone who read your posts that you had no intention of considering anyone else's arguments on why Bioware chooses to handle s/s LIs the way it does, nor why some players may actually prefer Bioware's method better than the suggestions you make.

ME3 IS going to have s/s romances. That is NOT up for debate. That was Bioware's decision. Anyone arguing for taking them out is wasting their breath at this point and is in danger of simply trolling. Even though many, but not ALL, s/s supporters would prefer the "all bi" LIs in ME3 similar to D2, it's is pretty clear that THAT will not happen in ME3.

This thread allows opinions and debate on s/s implementation. While not every s/s supporter is capable of debating it without getting upset and hostile, it is clear from YOUR history (still available on this thread for those willing to go back and read the pages and pages and pages of your wailing and gnashing of teeth) that you aren't capable either. You basically demand everyone agree with you, thinking that continuously saying the same thing over and over will prove your point. When it becomes obvious that you aren't winning converts you start to make ever increasingly snide and snarky comments, and then protest that you innability to win converts is a sign of your being persecuted.

I add that in MY opinion, your motivations are suspicious. Not only your s/s arguments but on reading how you handle yourself in other threads. Jacob is "just like Shaft" because of one line of dialogue and the color of his skin. Your heartfelt desire for more naked boobies in Bioware video games. It amounts to you being little more than the BSN equivalent of a radio shock jock.

Several non-trolls have taken the anti-bi position in this thread. That the thread seems to be overall pro-friendly and a majority aren't agreeing with you is just how the cookie crumbles. You seem to be the one who wants a thread where people don't disagree.

Again this guy? ¬¬

@slimgrin: Can't you just let everyone be? As IsaacShep said, there's no point on discusing that know, the game's going gold soon. If you are bored and want an argument, you could always type "Tali is bi" in Tali's fan thread and you'll have arguments 'till the game's out.

@LaurenShepard-N7: lol Careful!! you could ruin the two characters and the immersion for some people with that. That's MassEffe destruction weapon...

If you want to make a thread about different viewpoints on S/S romances, go right ahead. I can promise I'll stay out of it.

It's kind of pointless, though. The S/Sers won and that's pretty much the end of it. You can "Support Heterosexuality" (*eyeroll*) by being against gay romances or whatever, but when push comes to shove you've already lost.

I'm all for celebrating that they're in there, but gloating seems maybe a bit too much?

To answer the question:

Bioware's moderators prefer that s/s discussion is kept to this thread, because other threads have a tendency to spiral rapidly and ridiculously out of control, and break a bunch of forum rules at the same time. This thread prefers you keep away from controversial topics. It is not intended to discuss things like the causes of sexuality, modern day sociopolitics and the distribution of non-heterosexuality in humans.

To be clear: you don't have a right to make certain threads. You don't have a right to insist on discussing certain topics. This is Bioware's forums. What we discuss is at their absolute discretion. Moderators saw and closed dozens of threads whining about s/s content in the months after Casey's announcement. To cut down on their own work, and reduce the number of fans who are either enraged or upset, they moved discussion here.

There's already a group for people who 'support heterosexuality in the Mass Effect series'. I have no idea what is discussed there. I'd suggest you take any protests there, or to EA themeselves. There's no place to post it on the forums, because the moderators have determined that it's too controversial a topic to discuss.

If you have a problem with the way the forums are run, I'm sure Chris Priestly would be willing to hear you via PM.

Posting here isn't going to help. It usually derails the thread, for starters.

I think Cortez has retained his old look or at least his black hair: http://www.youtube.c...kyoRFcvA#t=497s

You can see a guy to the right with black hair where the supposed blondie was standing in the backround of the Vega sparring pic.

At the very least, this means the supposed blonde guy who was thought to be Cortez on the Normandy has black hair.

Man. I remember two years ago when this was a thread of hope and hope and more hope, with a lot of crazy jerks talking about how silly s/s is and that all y'all are silly.

Its good to see this stuff turned on its head.

I hope Kaiden is the S/S. I don't plan on doing any S/Sing, but by god.. if Kaiden ain't at least bisexual, I'm going to have to reset my Gay-dar.

If Ashley ends up S/S, I may have to replay ME1 and ME2 again as well. I always loved that hard hitting pink suit wearing lad-ay.

Which video is that from? I have no YouTube.

I can track it down myself if it's up somewhere else... just need to know if it's from a media website or something :)

It's from the Spike TV footage from ME3 that aired on the 19th. That 30 minute block that had mostly commercials. :pinched:

Are we going to have to wait until the game comes out to make a thread for Cortez?  I'm sure Bioware won't officially reveal him.

I was considering making one, but without a clearer picture (and any official announcement) it seems a bit futile.

I can think of a few choice quotes to use in the topic subject, though :P

"That's why I love you. Your confidence borders on stupidity. "
"Normally, I'm not one to fly copilot, but when an 800 pound krogan "requests" to take control of your shuttle, you comply."

Also, while I'm looking through dialogue, I'm assuming people have seen these Vega lines?

Shepard: The bed's a lot harder than it looks.
James: Are you flirting with me, Commander? Thanks again, Loco.

Those lines are separate in the actual files, Elite Pinecone. It would appear that people are combining lines in their compilations and passing them off as being contiguous.

Those are seperate lines. Speaking of, a noticed more lines when you can flirt with Vega as FemShep but not as ManShep.  Hmmm...

Ah, skullduggery!

That'll teach me to rely on the internet.

To my mind it's looking likely that it's just Steve and Sam in ME3.

A character revealed from the leaked beta. From what I understand, having avoided as much of the beta information as I can, he's a shuttle pilot on the Normandy and it's at least heavily implied from the leaked information that he's a non-squad member romance (like Kelly Chambers) exclusive to male Shepards.

Wait, what?  There is a "I support hetrosexuality in the Mass Effect series" group?  :lol:That just gave me a laugh attack.  That's like saying "I support guns in FPS games" or "I support rediculous amounts of swearing for no reason in modern games to make them look 'cool' to prepubescent 12 year olds".

Hmmm, anyway....  I have to stop reading this thread, I have stayed away from every promo video and news story about ME3 since last May or so but it seems I keep reading things I don't want to know, my own fault entirely I know.  My biggest problem will be on 14 February when the demo is released....

The corporates are pushing an ever more PC brainwashing line.  But I'm ok with it if the homosexuality is completely invisible to hetero players

The group is specifically supporting heterosexuality in *opposition* to s/s content. It's a private group and I'm not sure how active it is (if it's active at all), but occasionally some signatures pop up.

I mean, presumably you can support heterosexuality in Mass Effect while also supporting other types of romances. I know I do.

I try to keep spoilers to a minimum in stuff I post here, but apologies if anything has been a big spoiler. Since I read the leaks when it wasn't confirmed they were real, and pretty much spoiled the whole game for myself, I've become a bit blase about spoilers in general.

(Regarding the demo: the introductory level isn't *that* spoilery, but it does have a long opening cutscene that is interesting. The second level in the demo is definitely full of spoilers, since conversation options mention the overarching goal/plot of the game and it has a bunch of familiar characters.)

I thought the arguments concerning different sexualities in Mass Effect were settled? There will be no "everyone is bisexual", yes? That is what some people still believe is actively lobbied to be in the game, I think?

What else? Are people really against the fact that Shepard now has a gay relationship option? Even though there have been gay options since the first game.
