I hope the trolls don't get your forum shut down. I was worried about my own take on the subject being shut down, but it hasn't, though I don't get posts anymore.
One thing I do wonder about is how Bioware will handle bisexuality in previous established LI. There was dialog with both Tali and Kaidan that seemed to indicate that the thought of a same sex relationship had crossed their minds (though the fact taht Tali is a whole other species should probably raise more eyebrows than her gender), but as we all know the option was never given to the player.
Do my fellow ME fans want such characters to come with an explanation for their "mysterious" openness to homosexual relationships, or do we just accept the fact that Bioware suddenly had a change of heart on the third game just go with it (IF we want to)?
Maybe the Quarians have a social taboo against same gender romances, so Tali never was able to work up the nerve to pursue a same sex relationship with female Shepard until now? Or perhaps Kaidan had a religious upbringing and has always avoided the "forbidden" relationships until he met male Shepard?
Regardless of how it's handled, I hope Bioware doesn't continue to cut short Shepard's relationships with his/her crew just because s/he isn't romancing them, and I do want at least one "Aveline-style" relationship option where you can pursue a relationship but s/he turns Shepard down and/or pursues someone else.
