LesShep already has *guaranteed* 3 options - Samantha, Kelly (romance arc spanning across 2 games) and of course Liara who has the biggest romance arc in the entire trilogy. And we would be the only group to have a single option?
Seems more and more likely to be that way doesn't it?
Since all romance options are ultimately just accessories to customize one's character I still vastly prefer the they're all Bi or they're all Shepardsexual option, however since that's not in the cards for this game I can understand us not getting as many options as the Straight romances, however m/m getting less options compared to f/f is just ridiculous.
The notion marketing executives seem to have that f/f = hawt and m/m = yuck needs to die already.
I mean from my perception there's a non trivial number of straight women who like guy on guy and yaoi, a large number of them seem to be active on the internet, many of them likely play videogames and I'm willing to bet a significant number of them don't just play games like Angry Birds.
Or maybe I've just spend too much time in Asia and the girls women in the US and Canada are substantially different.
Alas, it seems EA is only interested in attracting the teenage male crowd, never mind the fact that the game seems to be rated for adults.
Well we can only hope that Cortez is really, really cute at this point and either not blonde or barring that that the engine has been improved to the point it can display cute blondes properly.
However, while I now believe that picture I had a rather disproportionate reaction to is in fact not Cortez, from what we do know of Cortez, alliance officer who has been married for at least some time, it seems to me that his age could logically be anywhere from early thirties to late forties (unless he either married really young or quite old or the marriage only lasted a very short time).
Personally I'm getting a mess Sgt. Gardner (also a famliy man before signing up for risky missions) vibe when I try to pictore Cortez myself, which frankly would not bode well for his cuteness.
