@ NICKjnp: i'm gonna say it this way, i do agree that religion can in our time be a reason for a person not to act on bisexual or homosexual feelings, although this is imo more of an american truth, if you're not from the usa i apologise for being presumptious.
In Germany, and most of continental western europe, exept spain/portugal, religion is no reason at all for a person to not be gay, example from my life, one of my classmates, totally gay, probably the most devout person i know, of course that is my germa-lutheran viewpoint.
However in almost 200 years, with the state of things now concerning religious ideals and the whole homophobia controversies, i think it won't be that big a deal anymore, especially in europe,
hello: we germans have an openly gay secretary of state!
if you take the books into account its even more unlikely that religion will be a reason for a person to not be gay, as stated on the first pages of revelation(first novel), just about every religious mythology was adjusted after the discovery of the marsian prothean ruins, if you then take hendel into account, an oppenly gay oficer and instructor at a military run boarding school, i really don't think that in the ME universe religion and homophobia are that ig a problem, its more plausible, in the games, i'm referring to some of ashley's dialogue in ME 1, that being religious is frowned upon, since ashley clearly states that many peole are not that exited about her faith, however stong it may be.
you argumented well from your point of view, but you are refering to real life, not the actual bioware created sci-fi universe we are all speculating about
