Nothing officially confirmed (apparently BW considers LIs as super huge spoilers >_>) but there are going to be at least four: Steve for male Shep, and Liara, Samantha, and Kelly for fem Shep.

Yeah, but FemShep has Kelly & Liara. And most likely Shiala as well, maybe Diana too. While we wonder wether ManShep will have more than 1 m/m LI

Yes, but femShep gets to choose between Samantha, Kelly, Liara and I'm sure even more flirt-only options during the course of the game (as was in previous games).

Probably because lesbians are still more mainstream or popular than gay men, after all many straight men (myself included) like the femshep lesbian romances.

Some things may get added, but not much will change. FemShep has already guaranteed Samantha, Kelly & Liara with Diana & Shiala possible as bonus romances. ManShep only has Steve so far secured. Kaidan and/or Vega our basically our only hope for more at this point. There're no more male characters that could potentially be m/m LIs.

Yup. Not from the "moral" perspective of fairness and neither from good design perspective of ensuring all choices (in this case the choice of Shep's sexual orientation) in a game that offers choice provide equally rich content, no matter the popularity. Same as with Soldier class (played by over 65%) and Engineer class (only around 5%) example I brought up many times.

To be honest I was hoping for a human female squadmate for a f/f romance, but after the spoiler leak I just want m/m fans to get more than one choice.  I'll live without my dream female LI, and hopefully if m/m squadmate romances dont' RUIN EVERYTHING FOREVER, Bioware will be more open to the idea of multiple s/s LIs who are squadmates for future games.  Hopefully.  I'm still worried that the reaction to DA2 has muddied things up.

I'm worried that the reaction to DA2 was taken remotely seriously. If it is, it will only mean that hyperbole spewing idiots get what they want simply because there's more of them.
