The devs already stated that there will be NPC romances.
Maybe, but those NPC have to be on the Normandy somehow, unless it's some one-night encounter like the Consort.

Tali says that she'd link suits with female Shepard...IF she was a quarian.
Seems pretty friend zone to me.
Well, yeah. She can't exactly link enviroment suits with someone who doesn't wear one.Collider wrote...

What? I could *swear* she didn't mention quarians for my femShep. She just said "I haven't trusted anyone enough, except..." and then Shepard asked "Wait, I can't see from the mask, are you blushing?" - "N-no!" (paraphrasing).

Okay, one more.
How would you guys react if Steve and Samantha were gay, but o/s Shepard could "turn" them straight?
Like say how Samantha rejects mShep initially, but he can still convince her into a relationship after that.

That would cheapen to their homosexuality to a gimmick.Blacklash93 wrote...

This would remind me of the misconceptions some people hold that gays don't actually exist, they are just people who haven't found the right opposite sexed person yet.

Shaala says she and Tali's mother linked suits so they could be in the same clean room for Tali's birth. So Tali's comment of linking suits isn't necessarily an offer of 'hawt-lesbian-sechs' like many interpret it to be. It's merely a display of affection.
I don't think Shaala installed nerve-stimulating mods into her suit for Tali's mother.GodWood wrote...

Unless of course Shaala and mother-Tali had hawt-lesbian-sechs whilst Tali was being born...
Yes. A very strong friendship.Vapaä wrote...
For doing that with an human, it would've been some STRONG affection.

Couldn't say I would be surprised if they went this route - it's Mass Effect and the series isn't the best on same sex options and issues (including F/F).Blacklash93 wrote...
I'm just trying to imagine the rage that would occur if Bioware were to do something so politically incorrect.

They would have less of an excuse for say, another full feature Mass Effect game after this trilogy, though. The characters would presumably be new. Little to no worry about "changing" sexualities. And they have the experience and precedence to know that the world won't explode if the space hero can be male and gay.
Re: DA2: The one thing that I didn't like in particular was that you gained rivalry points if you didn't flirt with Anders as male Hawke (who is diplomatic & sympathizes with the mages). The only rejection line is an tactless "I don't want you thinking about me that way." I don't know if female Hawke gets into the same problem.
