^ SolidBeast, Good XD. Personally it'll be in the back of my head until I get to see footage of Kaidan (especially) and if we never even get a glance of Steve and Sam until we get to play the game for ourselves.

I won't be shocked if ANY of the previous LIs who can have NEW romances in ME3 remain "straight," but I WILL be shocked if NONE of them will be available for s/s romances.

I'd like to believe your theory, but I've prepared myself for Steve being our only s/s option. But no matter what I tell myself, I just know I'll be disappointed if that ends up being true. I can see that disappointment coming from miles away, but there's no way of preventing it.

I won't complain, but seriously ? 4 F/F versus  1 M/M, l have no interest of M/M (except maybe Vega) but the gap is getting a bit too big.

Example...

Ashley, Kaidan, Tali (?), and Liara are former LIs that can be romanced in ME3. Vega is the new guy who can be romanced, and possibly bisexual.

I believe that is possible that Bioware can choose one or more of those characters to remain/be "straight," so I will NOT be suprised if, while I am playing, I discover that James or Ashley are NOT s/s LIs. Disappointed, maybe, but not surprised.

I WILL be STUNNED if, while I am playing, I discover that NONE of them are s/s LIs. Yes, I know Liara is a special case so, in a way, she doesn't count.

Hah, I'm trying to keep my disappointment down to a minimum.
But really, the flirt ratio is 8/1 currently. With today's announcement, starting to think 3 m/m LI's aren't such a stretch...

I know this is a bit of a stretch but, I could even see them potentially making (the redesigned and more feminine) Ashley available to both genders without doing the same for Kaidan (probably with some lame excuse about resources, deadlines or design decisions.)
Or learning somehow that Kaidan has at least dated/experimented with men before, but still not having him actually be romanceable by MShep.

(edit, I see Abispa was way ahead of me on the potential of the Ashley only thing)

By the way, where does it hint on Tali being romanceable in ME3? I haven't read anything about that other than her being cool about being in a relationship after ME2 or not.

It's definately not a stretch, that's why I'm trying to stay optimistic . Straight Shepard still gets a harem of new and old LIs, FemShep also gets a good selection of s/s ( when we include Liara and Kelly), so for only gay Shep to get one single male s/s is really odd.

However, I am trying to look back through my posts on other threads because I remember reading a Talimancer whining about that same thing.
