Apparently, the author was not familiar with the details surround the
lore of Mass Effect, leading to numerous mistakes. Including batarians
being able to launch a slave raid on Palaven, volus not having to wear
full environment suits, and some people raged over the fact that there
were references to Hendel Mitra being interested in women. (I can only
assume that the people who were complaining about this missed the memo
that there's no reason the phenomenon otherwise known as
"Andersification" can't go both ways. But I digress.)
I don't see anyone ever saying Anders wasn't interested in men but hey what do I know?

Yes. I think Priestly said there are scenes, as in, multiple. But I believe that's when he gets injured at one point.
edit: Ryzaki, I'm confused. What does it matter what a random person on DA has to say on the matter? Did I miss something?

The devs said that the sex scenes are going to be like ME2. No sideboob for us! Also, if the leaked script is any indication, Steve's romance looks to be a kiss and then fade to black.
Maybe they've changed their mind since last month. And the person who said it, wasn't exactly the most honest in the past... ... ...Oh you're such a spoilsport <_<

"We" are not guranteed anything at this point. As far as straight romances go, Jacob was shirtless in ME2, so probably shirtless guys all round, yes...

Ah. Well, while we're on the Andersification topic, I never got the impression that he was straight in the first place, and I hate it when people use his "Pretty girl" line as evidence that he was forcibly "changed". Furthermore, I think he already had some rather dark twists to his character in Awakening.

What? Don't tell me you liked the dryhumping DAO scenes?!?
And yeah Anders kept most of his personal life...personal. We don't even know his real name for pete's sake.
The "OMG we know he's totally straight!!!" attitude is laughable.

And it's not like every gay man knows from birth that he's gay. People are so strict about this "A character must be straight, gay or bisexual, but he shouldn't be closeted, he shouldn't figure out that he's into guys in the game." I think it could be fun if Kaidan or Vega started all uberstraight and had drunk sex with BroShep, denying everything the next day.

Ah.
I thought the DA:O sex scenes looked like a photoshoot in diapers. I prefered the DA2 ones (well... the Anders one, I can't say for others) but it still didn't hold a candle to the ME one. Plus, you'd think Anders would take off his coat.

with our luck that option is gender-locked <_<
and I swear if they're labeling it as a service to the femShep players there shall be nerd-raging as the BSN hasn't seen yet

They just looked bleh. I adored Fenris
I wanted to see shirtless Fenris. Pretty markings would've been pretty.

Part of me secretly hopes that one Kaidan's line from the script might be hinting at just that :
"I want to understand what this is between us... and make it real."
He always struck me as closeted.
But yeah. Like I've been saying, I really doubt that's the case. I forgot what everyone thought on the "paralel universe" thing in regards to DA2 LIs. I know some argued that Anders is either gay or straight, depending on Hawke's gender, but then Gaider said he was bi either way.

Right. There was never anything that blatantly suggested that Anders WASN'T interested in men, unlike Hendel with women.Ryzaki wrote...

Anders wanted a "pretty girl" because that's what was expected of him and also in all likelyhood he, as bisexual, prefered women over men at the time. In DA2 he was at the point where he'd get with anyone for affection, anyway. And he thought the whole Templar rape thing Oghren brought up was disgusting because it was, well... rape.
Hendel meanwhile was clearly defined to not be attracted to women and there was nothing that happened between Ascension and Deception that would make him desperate for affection. Choosing to go on what is basically a 2-year alien cruise doesn't really have any implications of that. Why he would ogle Asari strippers over the men in the crowd doesn't really make sense.
Not really comparable.

Well Ander's romance was written rather genderspecific. Reminds me of Dumbledore or whats-his-face... Felix off BSG, writers said they were gay, but it was hardly even hinted at. Then again there are those points Blacklash93 brought up. Well, I guess this has been discussed before. I wonder how many were really bothered about everyone being bi and how many didn't really care. Guess we'll never know.SolidBeast wrote...

Maybe he gained a new appreciation for the Asari. See I wouldn't mind him being bisexual but...it's not at all inferred in the book he still likes men.

But I haven't seen any convincing arguments that Kaidan is. Most of them rely on stereotypes. Not saying you do. But I've seen people claim that Kaidan is probably bisexual/gay (or acts like he is) because he's "sensitive" (which is a common gay stereotype) or some such. That's backwards, imo.
I also don't find Kaidan to the type of person to still be discovering himself and to repress homosexuality. In ME1, he's very much the character who has his stuff in order already and has figured out who he is and what he wants and wants to do. I don't think the society in Mass Effect really puts pressure on people to be in the closet, either. You even have deliberate mention of gay marriage and Steve is openly homosexual to broshep. Doesn't strike me as a time where gays are still hiding in fear of social stigma.
