That's what I thought. Looked for it everywhere but I can't seem to find it even Google is turning up blanks, which I thought was pretty suspicious seeing as how big that information would be.

It's fake. That writer doesn't even work on ME3 - she's on maternity leave at the moment but usually writes for Dragon Age.

It was made by some particularly dense morons who got into a flap over the content in DA2, and some interviews Hepler had made in the past about games and story. Rather than acting like people older than six, they decided that weight jokes, nicknames and creating that fake post to make people angry at her was proper revenge.

Hey I have a couple of 6 year old nephews who would be very insulted by you implication!

True. Many six year olds act better than people on the interwebs.

God, how can someone so privileged (12 romances and quasi-romances between female o/s and f/f so far without ME3 LIs, while m/m got one for sure in ME3 and 3 at most, not even close) write that bull***t, I mean it isn't just a question of trolling or not, it's just human dignity.
It's not a football match (Gays vs Straight), IMO, they have a serious psyquic problem and they need a doctor ASAP.

There's a certain amount of "eww gays" in there, sure, but I think it was more to put Mrs Hepler in a bad light. A subset of the deranged underbelly of the internet have decided they don't like her, and they regularly and loudly proclaim this in any situation where DA2 is mentioned. Because she wrote Anders, and because she said she prefers the interactivity of video game narratives to their combat, people (stupid, childish people) made it their business to insult and degrade her. To the extent of sexist jokes, weight jibes, and whatever you'd call faking a forum post.

What's worse is that people have believed it - it was spread around the usual RPG 'enthusiast' forums, and now I regularly see posts referencing Hepler and 'ME3 is a same sex dating sim lol' at the end of any article or news item about the game.

It certainly hasn't hurt the preorders (thankfully, sane people still exist), but at the same time there's a bunch of people out there in internet-land who are pretty firmly against s/s or feminist themes in Bioware's work, and are willing to basically make crap up to discredit the company.

If the Cortez scene is fade to black but the other romances have scenes ala ME1?

Very but only if those other romances that have scenes also include Sam and possibly Diana because it would make him the afterthought among afterthoughts, but then again apart from the substantial amount of effort put into his dialogue it seems like they've done everything to keep Cortez as low cost as possible resource wise,
- character creator generated face
- most likely wears standard alliance uniform (meaning no need to create an iconic look)
- no party banter or location comments (since he isn't a squad member
So him having no actual romance scene but just a kissing sound and fade to black would make sense in that context.
Though, honestly, fade to black could be a blessing or a curse at this point depending on whether the romance scenes in ME3 more closely resemble ME1 (curse) or ME2 (blessing).

Personally I'd be more pissed if it turns out that Steve has a character generator created face and wears the standard alliance outfit but they've given Sam both a unique face and an iconic look.

Of course this is all just speculation at this point and I do hope to be proven wrong on at least some of these points (most preferably the character generator face) but at this point this does seem like a likely scenario to me.

That would suck but I really wouldn't be all that upset, to be honest.  Yes, it would be a bit unfair, but honestly I'm just happy that my Shepard can finally be gay.  That means more to me than any particular options or details about the romance with Steve (or any other s/s love interest that might be revealed).

I like its presentation to be the same as the other romances but I wouldn't mind if they all faded to black.  I enjoy the romances for the dialogue and extra character development not digital dry-humping.

BTW: a month tomorrow till release in the UK! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! <piddles on floor>

UGH, I'm going to RAGE if Diana gets a special character model and Samantha/Steve don't.

Well, Samantha's VA is very attractive, I'd be surprised if they didn't import her face model. By that logic, there should be a model for Steve, too, but it's not like the s/s romances are equal to each-other right now, so...

We'll see.

Yeah, I know. But still, it doesn't make any sense to harass a person like this, even if they don't agree with her opinions or like her works, she deserves as much respect as anyone else, dev or customer. They should just shut the f***k up and play other games that offers them all the boobs, swearing, shooting/pointless killing they want (there are tons, Saints Row 3 for example).

I guess this is what happens when you make sexist bood-crazed straight male teens your targeted audience, they lack maturity to face the complexity of life and don't care about the consecuences of their actions. It still isn't nice to see these things, though.

I try to make it habit to never type something I would not be willing put my real name on and say to someone's face. I can't say I am always successful, since I tend to get long winded and convoluted in my writing and I would tongue tie myself into a mortal death-lock saying this.

I remember this from 4Chan. It was accompaned by another image going into a strange, convulted arguement about how all this is related to her being a Jew(assuming she even is). Stuff like this just proves that 4chan is hilariously stupid, and evil.

Well, they have made Diana the focus of some of the marketing.

It's... really quite likely that she did get a unique, physics-defying, unrealistic-clothing character model.

I am all for the male LIs getting unique physics-defying character models with or without clothing.

Forgive me for venting a little here.

The 'crazed drunken one-legged illiterate Vietnam vet / internet troll' thread has been open for three hours now. There were at least three new accounts created to insult, flame and bait people into reacting. I don't care so much that people reacted (since a few of them were earnestly trying to respond), and I don't even care that Kaiser popped up because it means they aren't wasting their time posting here.

But where the flip were the mods? One even edited a post to remove spam! That thread had racial epithets, insults, political discussion that isn't going to go anywhere good, and basically would melt the Site Rules into a steaming puddle of goo.
