Yeah you can't make out his face at all.

Heck just look at Sheploo standing right next to him. Sheploo doesn't look like that.

I'm only judging him off the hair.

@Tietj, the darkness around his mouth does look like a moustache. I'm really hoping that it is just the lighting, because I really don't like moustaches. I still wouldn't call deal-breaker if he has one, but... please still just be the lighting!

Edit: @RenjiRenee, so he doesn't have one? Then I'm back to optimistic, and will just chalk everything up to the lighting.

I thought someone with the demo already said he's got facial hair?

Anyway, the lighting makes him look older, because of the laugh lines and it also makes his nose appear flat and his forehead wide, plus he looks a bit like he's balding. Again, it's probably... hopefully the lighting. Looks like he's got some facial hair, though.

The contrast was bad to begin with, but I think I've managed to make it slightly clearer. Lowering the contrast really adds nothing. I just ran it through a high pass filter several times, adjusted the levels a bit and resized.
And yeah, Ryzaki, really not digging the hairstyle. Plus the fact their hairstyles are so similar, can't explain it, but it's weird to me. DefaultShep and Kaidan compliment each other nicely in terms of looks. Not sure if I'm making sense.

Yeah I know what you mean. He's not ugly in the HR shot but he's nothing to write home about either. Looks even worse since Kaidan apparently got a hotness upgrade.

But he does have facial hair. It's not ridculous level but it's facial hair.

@ Revan - thanks for that! Well, that lays my fears that he'll look older than Shep to rest. Still overshadowed by the sex on legs that is Kaidan, though. And I agree with you, Ryzaki (yet again), I preferred his look in the leak. Is it really just the hair? Hmm..

Well, he's not face-scanned or anything, but not nearly as bad as the screenshot was suggesting.  And he can't look as old as my manshep because... lol.  Goddamn manshep skin textures.

I liked the earpiece too. But yeah it's not just the hair and earpiece I can't put my finger on it but I just preferred the leaked beta look (when his hair wasn't bugging out and turning blond).

Personal preferences I guess. Ah well.

There's stsill Vega. Hacked or otherwise.

Looks good to me. I'll romance him on my 2nd or 3rd playthrough, probably.

I mean, obviously a nice scanned face would be preferable, but he looks human, and that is more than many supposedtobehuman NPCs in Mass Effect can boast.

I feel silly for nitpicking and I know there will be others who will say that we're whining again, but I'm just, uh.. underwhelmed. It is what it is. If only Kaidan didn't look so freaking amazing. Made and ruined my night all at once.

I know he is a wee touch CC but that is pretty much perfect for me. Kaidan and Vega can run on now lol.

(I wonder if they'll release an alternate DLC costume harness and chaps.... Hmmmm lol)
