He's a balding middle aged shuttle pilot when everyone else gets supermodels (unless, or at least cute girls like Kelly, unless Sam bucks the Bioware trend too), so color me not impressed.
Guess I get to finish the game with a celibate, straight ManShep man, now I almost wish they'd add an option to tell dr. Chakwas not to do too much to fix up one particular area the next time my ManSheps get shot half to dead again.

I also guess we do not even get to express a same sex preference unless we tell Steve we dig him right?

Wut?  He looks the same age as Kaidan & Vega and he's not balding, he has short hair (and the lighter spot it just light reflection)

I don't get the balding thing?  He has a buzz just Sheploo.

Middle-aged?  Shepard's no spring chicken himself... Kaidan has wrinkles and I think is about 35 or 36 now??  What's your point?

Uh...plus don't they live to ~150 now? I don't see how 30 would be middle aged.

Honestly, the skin+lighting is so inconsistient in all screens/clips IDK anymore. Kaidan looks tanned in some screens, ghost-pale in others lol. Cortez may be tanned/darker, but it can also be just lighting from the cockpit

Shep's 29 by my reckoning and for the record I'm also not a big fan of Sheploo's buzz (Vanderloo looks much better with more hair IRL too), which is why I don't usually play as him (only one of my five ManSheps is Sheploo and he's the one who romances Liara anyway).

Jacob and Ashley are somewhat younger than Shep though and it's anyone's guess how old Garrus and Thane are exactly, though Thane is also least middle, age, I grant you, but Drell apparently age much less visibly then humans do, so that still puts him in the model good looks category in my book.

And how exactly do you know for sure, the balding and copious amounts of facial hair are just lighting effects?
